Argh! The new set, "Falling Down" got rejected. The reason given was fairly ambiguous, but I pushing for a more specific reason would have seemed pushy. If you would like to see it, it will be posted on Zivity.com in the near future. It's likely to be one of my last sets.

I think I might be done with shooting for a long while--not because of SG, not because of any photographers I've been working with--my life is not going in the direction where being open about being nude on the internet is going to be acceptable.

I love these photos, and I love being naked, but I also love being employed.

Overall, I think we're on our way to becoming really open about human sexuality as mindset, not just protocol, but real change isn't likely to happen in my lifetime.

Naked pictures don't hurt anyone, and certainly they don't compromise one's ability to do his or her job. It's the nature of others, via harassment and distraction, or the inability to "take you seriously" that hinders productivity. Additionally, there's the implication, to some, that your moral character has been compromised--a totally baseless assessment.

A Quick Anecdote: When I was in college, some frat guys found out about my SG status (all of whom I've NEVER met or knew) and started a Facebook group set out to humiliate me. Eventually, I got it taken down, but since then, I've wondered if this was a harbinger for more harmful, and totally groundless, vilification in the future.

Given some of the ferociousness in condemnation out on the internet in regards for relatively innocuous behavior involving sex and sexuality, I wonder if these photos are my blood in the water?

Is the true nature of humanity one torch away from a effigy? If so, why are people so angry?

EDIT: To those who responded to the blog post--thank you for your input. Many of you had some very apt comments to contribute and overall, I agree wholeheartedly. At this point, I plan to remain active on the site, but have put the prospect of future photosets on hold.

It sucks but it's not like all the other pictures of you floating around the internet are going to disappear.

That frat thing sounds especially vile though, to think there's people spitefull enough to waste their time on that.

I would have added to this but I think you've pretty much covered it.

Just another reason for my conitnued hatred of frat boys, I have met a few that I got along with, but for the most part I never could see what the draw was, and the pack mentality was not something that appealed to me, although I guess when I get together with my friends that is a pack of sorts, but nothing like what I have seen in frats.

If I had found out abeauty like you was on here, I wouldn't have set out to destroy, I would have set out to support and encourage, but that's me and the members on here, can't see why someone would seek to destroy that which they do not understand. If you don't like or agree with something, do not attack it, simply walk away and keep out of the situation, that's the way I look at it, well other than politics that is.

I hate to hear you might be leaving SG soon, but sadly I totally understand your argument as well. We all need to be employed more than we need to express ourselves or have fun in most cases (though that's a very depressing thing to say...) If not for my job I'd be covered in tattoos and piercings but I have to limit such things in a corporate world.

I don't get why those frat guys would have bothered you though, that sounds like high school (or even middle school) behavior. You're so beautiful I don't know why anyone would try to humiliate you frown

You're one of my favorite SG's and will be missed. Please let us know when that last set is posted on the other site!

I think it's understandable why you might be done with sets for now (or forever). Not everyone in the non-SG world is quite as open about things as this community is. I think it's sad that some people would try to bring you down for some ridiculous notions of puritanical morality that no longer apply -- I hope you don't take any of it too much to heart or seriously. The problem is theirs, not yours!

That said, even if you're not going to be submitting new sets, I hope you stick around. Another voice on here never hurt anyone. smile

Shame on the Staff... They Need to Give you a Real & Specific Reason why it was Rejected not an Ambigious Reason.

i totally understand your reasoning, but man will it suck to have no more Rei sets to look forward to.

i think our cultural interaction with technology is in a state of huge flux, right now; we live in a state of constant future shock, which gets mixed up with and riled up further by our national progression towards more liberal values. people don't know how to deal with it, so they vilify it and/or make fun of it. i think as time goes on, two things will happen: people will become choosier about whether or not to post material on the internet that others might find questionable; and fewer things on the internet will be seen as questionable by most people. someday soon, your SG sets might go on your resume!

People as a whole will never be happy, it's in our nature. I'm sorry to hear that you wont be posting, I've always enjoyed your pics, but your right, if it affects your life then your better off not doing it.

Ill be sad to see you go frown

The power of (perceived) anonymity makes people brave enough to let the demons out of the bottle. It also makes me sad that I will not get to see you nude in new sets in the future. You are one of my favorite models. Your combination of physique and exoticism are wonderful.

A very articulate analysis of the double standard inherent in America's attitude toward sex and the female body. I think naked women scare the shit out of most of America.
