Short version: I am begging anyone to buy their extra ticket to the Gym Class Heroes show at the House of Blues Chicago March 15th...
if you want, you can read the long version below:
Let me just preface this by saying that K-os is one of my all-time favorite musicians, no joke. There are maybe five bands that could make that list out of probably upwards of several thousand.
I found out he was opening for Gym Class Heroes here at the House of Blues Chicago a few weeks ago, and have been planning to buy tickets, but because of illness, family issues that required me to be home, and the demands of work and school and the like, I was unable until today (even in my sickly state) to go buy tickets in person at HOB. Yes, I could have bought them online on Ticketmaster, but out of principle, I have never bought a concert ticket from them (the one exception being Warped Tour) for the past seven years out of principle. Paying an additional 12-17 dollars for "service" on the internet is ridiculous, and furthermore, it isn't even needed to cover the relatively nominal printing costs. In addition, the entire firm earns it's profits likethat of a near monopoly.
So what's the result? I thought buying tickets two weeks in advance would suffice, but alas, the show has been sold out, and I am shit out of luck.
So if anyone out there has an extra ticket to this show, please contact me. I can offer a significant amount of money (which I would prefer to disclose in private) or merely, my undying love and loyalty (it's tattooed on my back, in case you're in doubt). I'll design you a custom tat, I'll even do a comissioned painting.drawing. Maybe even a homemade cake from scratch...I make some awesome chocolate chip cookies.
Love,
~Rei
