I'm really enjoying 2011, thus far. Instead of dwelling upon things that I'm no good at (like knitting, tattooing, operating rocket ships, ect.) I've compiled a list of things that I've been flourishing at over that past couple of weeks.
what have you been excelling or failing at in 2011, so far?
Did you make a list of goals or resolutions, at all?
I did. I made a list of things I would like to do within the next 12 months. Its extensive, and at points its ridiculous, but I'm really knocking some things off of it faster than I intended to. Heres a couple of things off of that list, that you can steal for yourself, if you'd like:
- send out more postcards
- draw more often
- get a photo of mine put into a gallery show
- do a cartwheel in a different country
- try recipes with ingredients Ive never used
- learn two new trades
- find an excuse to wear fake eyelashes, weekly
- order something on a menu with ingredients that I cant pronounce
- learn to write with my left hand
- learn a magic trick thats more impressive than "I've got your nose"
- teach my dog a new trick
Next month, I'm going to cross another thing off this list. I'm going to Bangkok to do a cartwheel then I'm going to go down to Vietnam to have a beach party! Have you ever been to either of these places? Assuming that I don't get kidnapped, is there anything else I should do while I'm there?

You have to love. appreciate and admire a goal-oriented woman. This is a very amalgam of a year past and years to come.. I already write with my left hand and I like the notion of reading more while wearing less. (for you, for me, not so much)...
And a beach party in Vietnam seems a fine idea,

I have a few resolutions: Learn to drive, learn to swim, put my graphic design degree to use and get more into photography(maybe take a course)
I have never been to either Thailand or Vietnam, though I wanted to visit both when I was in Australia for a year.
I can't for the life of me think of the name but there are amazing looking old temples in Vietnam that are the reason I want to visit. Lucky you.

I have traveled for 6 months in south east asia . .. son in bangkok , I sugges you to go spend a few hours in lumpini stadium even if you are not really in boxing , just being there with all the people getting crazy is a lot of fun . in bangkok to do some shopping the mbk is a really nice place more ''thai'' than all the others . the party touristy place is called koh san road .. if you like being surrounded by drunk people .. I suggest you to take the sky train ! there a lot of picture potential . I dont know if you planning to go somewhere else than bangkok in thailand . if yes . I could suggest you a few other places .
in vietnam . if you are in hanoi erea .. of course you need to go to haloong bay .. dont take the 3 days trip it's not worth it . just take the 1 day !! lot of pictures can be taken .
I dont know any other place in north .. I was traveling by bicycle ,so I had to move .
saigon erea , well saigon is a really nice city !! and around you have the koh ching ( not sure about the spelling)tunnels , a huge network of tunnels from the war , where you can shoot a lot a weapons from small ones to big ones( sure you are going to like it )
ho! and last thing . in saigon , you'll see around 5 or 6 in the afternoon a lot of small shops close door ,and then put some plastic chair on the corner of the street , all the chairs turned facing the intersection , they sell some cheap beer and cigarettes , I suggest you to sit there and to have a beer( wich is not really good) and you'll understand why all the chairs are facing the intersection ! keep you eyes open !!!!!
