i get that with strangers... but i hate the feeling of holding back. of wondering years later about a person, a place or a photo i should have taken.
Now i push myself to make the link, and alot of the time it works out really well!
i also realised however, that sometimes the time you share, even if you dont talk to someone is special, sometimes you dont need to swap contact details. it can just give you a different perspective on things.
Lastly ... i bet the person/people your talking bout are looking at you going " they look cool, i wish they were my friend"
i make alot of train friends on long journeys i am convinced those connections will one day pay off and theres an oportunity coming up that i'm not going to miss!
I hear ya on the small talk and the finding ways to still honor the little kid inside us all! Maybe I'll take my kids out and splash in some big ass puddles today! (Oh, and about the 7-year-old wearing a slip... it was the '70s and she'd been wearing a dress... our moms used to make us wear slips under dresses back then... )
Congrats on the set going live in record time! w00t! It's a wonderfully fun and gorgeous set. Cherry is one of my favorite photographers, too... whether she's shooting nature or nudes or something entirely other. She has an impeccable eye for the beauty and mystery around and within us. That video was wicked fun, too! My hubby and I totally wondered how you managed to shoot that in broad daylight under the Hollywood sign!
The video is great, especially you diving for cover when cars drove past!
The song in the video is great too, I can't for the life of me remember its name thou...do you know?
