What about thunder during a firestorm?

lightning sometimes starts fires.

Eh, I live across the street from a fire station, so I hear them all the time. Once they totally saved a stray cat that was stuck in the sewer though! It was all very cute.

out here, in the tinder box, it would be odd not to hear a firetruck in a thunderstorm.
like having a bag of chips w/o onion dip.
like having a burger w/o cheese and bacon.
like having a six of good beer w/o a bottle opener

I've watched a thunderstorm that was virtually unable to touch a bonfire, the fire burned so hot that rain was being evaporated before it ever touched the source of the fire. It was totally surreal.
