Hey ladies and gents!

As you can finally see, my very first set is up and I'd really like some feedback if you havent posted a comment yet;

just click on Rayde: Living Dead

Thanks for all your support!

*******************************

So I just finished a Retro PinUp Shoot, it was GREAT fun! I may post the pictures later on this week, please keep posted on that, just touching them up ^_^

Also finished art school for the summer (Phew!) Check out my Pics to see my Final Exhibit. Hopefully it wins me some scholarship money. Lord knows I need it.

Picture me. 3 years from now. Doing characatures at the fair. fucking scary isnt it? Please donate to the Rayde Needs a Real Degree Society, She really really needs your help. HAHA!

My good friend Raymond made a couple pieces of art with me as his subject. I'll post the gargantuan painting later. For now, this piece was composed of 36 individual photos taken at 36 locations. Non Digital one shot deal kinda thing. Most people dont realize i repeated that pose 36 times and he managed to get it all in focus and proportionate. Crawling under fences, sitting on cars and mailboxes, on roofs, all turned out beautifully. Kudos to his work...he was gonna toss it so I'll keep it in my apartment like the narcisist I am! confused

et, Voila! La piece du résistance:

And here's some poetry I wrote the other day. I'm gonna spin some records.

Enjoi!

There’s a baby in the floorboards
I can see him through the cracks
Past the nails and dust and cobwebs
Still, and lying on his back

The phone and desk and rug I roll
Back into it’s place
And I stir the coffee in my cup
bluish-black
just like his face

I set up my work for an art exhibit at my school. That's how they basically give out scholarships. I hope I get something!

There will be more pics of my work in detail in my Photo Pholders. ^_^

Tommorrow I look for a new apartment... again.
Wish me luck!

This pretty much sums me up

I took a stroll with the ball and chain today. I love walking around looking at all the old houses, and the new houses. Can you tell we're apartment shopping?

We were shown this totally awesome loft today, I hope we win over the lease, the other couple there were really disturbing. I mean nice, but.... the wife was quiet and she had angry glaring eyes....the claws were dying to come out.

My loft! MINE!

fucking creepy.

Other than that I stopped into this shady donut shop to use the bathroom. I should have guessed what the bathrooms looked like.

Galaxy Donuts. okay major hint. it's not cryptic.

Anyhow I feel bad using some shabby eatery's bathroom without buying something (take a bullet for the team) so I got an "Orange Cruller"

Now I ask you, what do you think an orange cruller should taste like? If you were to eat an orange cruller, glazed in sugar looking oh-so-appetizing, what do you think its consumption would reveal? Orange rind? orange flavour?

Well.....to be quite honest, it was more a mangled cross between a chinese dumpling and the chapstick I used to eat when I was four.

Just like that. dumplings and chapstick. A winning combination.

Back to you Bob.

In other news, I watched Mystery Science Theatre 3000 last night (the movie) which wasnt as good as the shows, but howling funny!

*Sci-Fi music*
"He puts the pastry into the toaster. This is the top secret Government Eggo Project."

BWAHAHAHAH ok you have to see it. Download an episode from a Torrent. This series is hilarious. Ask me about it if you want more info. I'm thinking this journal is getting long..... unlike my attention span.

*magpie* confused

Today Im doing a videoshoot for a side project I'm involved in. Ed the Sock is probably cutting it, which should be, erm, interesting.

Other than that, the final stretch of assignments this week and then University can kiss my tight white ass for the summer.

and Ive been trying to post pics on here for a while. I swear to god Im doing it right........ but they never post. Attempt number 496763 ; a picture of my eyes taken last year. If this fails im completely giving up. Anyone that can give me pointers as to why Im a freakin idiot, I'd much appreciate. confused

Well, I'm not doing so bad considering how little I've slept this week...er weekend. Both.

The sun is shining brightly outside so my door is wide open flooding my dingey basement apartment with light. Brilliant!

A little work to do today, essay, another essay, scale model of st. patrick subway station... What the hell is this crap? I am not enjoying first year very much so far. Only two more weeks to pitch in last minute work and hope for a decent mark. I need the summertime.

i cant wait for the summer. hazey afternoons, mirages rising from the concrete as I bike home after work. dinners outside by candle light. pastas seasoned with herbs from my garden in my hometown. barefoot in the silvery blue grass at midnight brushing ants off our toes. making corner store purchases an excuse for an outing, for a walk, for an accomplishment. talking forever into the night with an orchestra of crickets to play in the outskirts. Waking up to do it all again.

no offense to all the big city has given me. but fuck Gotham. Tthe burbs are the best place to raise your kids. My soul will always live there, between the strip mall and the forest behind the Arena

So I'm new to this whole Journal thing. I've had a number of attemps to keep other profiles active but I think I'm a little distraced magpie.

Shiny Object.

It's nice and warm here, true Spring so I'm throwing on some clothes and going for a walk. Later I'm meeting with a photographer and MUA to discuss a project we'll be working on. Something Retro, something Pin-up, I can't wait.

I'm going to shower and get the hell out of this dingey basement apartment, the computer rules my world.
