I'm alive!

Its been a looong time since I wrote a proper blog. About a million things have happened since last fall so I'm not even sure where to start!

So, as some of you may know, my car started overheating back in September. I took it to a shop in Oakland and they said my head gasket was about to blow. They wanted $1800 to fix it. I cried, haha. Took the car to my parents, my dad did a few minor repairs and gave it back to me. Told me to limp it along until after the holidays. I didn't feel like that was the best plan, but I went with it. Naturally, more driving meant more overheating, and about three days after I paid the car off (a 60 month loan) I found out that the entire engine block had cracked! I had to buy a new engine, in addition to replacing the head, water pump, timing belt, etc. so now I'm back to being several thousand dollars in debt. Le siiigh.

But, I have a functional car now! Woo!



SF Shootfest went down a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING! So many great girls, everyone was so gorgeous and sweet. Saint is a saint (hehe) for hosting us in her incredible loft I didn't do any modeling, but I shot some nice portraits of Quinne, Damsel, Hildreth & _zia_. The afterparty was also super fun (minus my ex showing up). I met some awesome people! Here are my photos from the day:

I've been trying to shoot as much as possible lately. Photography is still very much my passion and main hobby. Dating another photographer is so great! We push each other to shoot more, we share Photoshopping techniques, and we model for each other. I feel like the shots Travis takes of me are really some of my strongest. The chemistry is so real and intense. Its so easy for me to project romanticism, happiness, and sex appeal when we shoot together because its REAL. I moved into a new place recently! Its sooo much nicer than our old house. Kelsey and I's third roommate Andrew got a fancy job and moved to San Francisco, so its just the two of us now. We take pride in keeping our new home neat and clean. There is so much more space now, and we have the cutest little back deck! I'm so happy things worked out the way they did. Check it out:

Also shot MorePot's Cannabis club promos, camermaid's beautiful handmade Swarovski crystal jewelry, and shot a music video in Sacramento for As Artifacts. All three were incredibly fun shoots, and I met such amazing people! I did my first underwater shots, sooo fucking cool...



Some UK girls are in California and we got to hang out last week! Facebook contest winner Hopeful Jordan, Mel, Katherine, and Chad. Swoon!

I'm already looking forward to Comic Con 2012 - who else is going?! We need cute costume suggestions, so lay 'em on me!
