Well, it turns out the car I just spent five years paying off has a cracked engine block, so if anyone's looking for me I'll be sobbing uncontrollably in a corner somewhere.

That sucks balls... Big donkey balls..
Getting a new engine will probably cost more than the blue book value for the car now, and a re-built engine will probably run you a couple of grand. you might be better off selling the car for scrap and using the money to buy a "beater."
