Fav apps - Shazam ( ID's music on radio / TV, etc. ; AccuRadio ( indie music stations ) ; The Weather Network ; textPlus ( free text msg service ) and Baby Scratch ( turntable ).

Can't wait for Hell City. So freaking excited!
As far as iPhone apps....I have all the practical ones like Expedia, Hotels.com, stuff like that cause I travel a lot. I love Shazam which is a program that listens to music and ID's the songs. Works fantastic and I always hear music that I want to know who the artist is. Skype is a good one. And Dragon Dictation is awesome for texting and driving...it takes dictation and then you can paste it in a text so you don't actually have to type

I'm kind of addicted to the Miso App, which is like last.fm for TV. For twitter I use Tweet Deck, but Echofon is good too. myComics is awesome for reading comics on your iPhone. Words With Friends is a great scrabble app. I have so much fun with it. There's also a Where's Waldo App and the Photoshop Mobile.

I could go on...lol

As for apps..Mine include local happy hour apps for Seattle, a bus app for the exact time the bus is showing up, and pandora for when I'm bartending. That's all I ever use.
