This holiday season has been bittersweet. Some incredible things and some incredibly sad things.

Happy

Scotty and I are now engaged! I am overjoyed with this new chapter of my life. It is so fluid and easy now. We are the very best of friends and I'm really happy to take the plunge with such a wonderful man.

Sad

My beloved, loyal friend of 14 years passed away when my sister and I visited our parent's home for the holidays. He died with us all around him saying how much we loved him. I can't think of a better way for a family member to die. He was so so so loved up until his very last breath.

Happy/Sad

We are moving to SoCal. Scott is pursuing mechanical engineering and we have a sweet setup that is cheaper, safer, and smarter. Planning on saving money and buying a house! I'm going to miss my dear friends in the Bay Area but it's time to start a new chapter.

So sorry to hear about your puppy. I do think they know when it is time to go and it sounds like he wanted to make sure that his family was there to say goodbye. All the best to you and your Fiance in the New Year!
