I went to l'Union fait la force two weekends ago. Ok, I wasn't one of the contestants, but I was in the audience, it's already something. I went there with the Philharmonie Jeunesse de Montréal, i.e. the symphonic orchestra in which I play violin. And let me tell you, we kicked some asses! Ha! If ever you are interested in seeing the show, easy to remember it'll air on the first week of 2007, aka from january 1st to the 5th (on Radio-canada at 5:30)!
Excuse me, I should've said seeing the b-e-a-utiful contestants on the show.

And the marvelous audience/musicians/ugly people

And we create the illusion of being a different crowd every episode.

Of course, in order to do that, we use highly advanced television technology.

Oh yeah. On breaks, artists tend to become more and more like sissies.

C'EST PATRICE L'ÉCUYER!!!!!
Ne nous énervons pas quand même, je n'ai malheureusement pas réussi à le baiser. Je ne suis que trop déçue.

I'm in love.
I at last found something I thought I'd never see.
I finally watched the animated serie Glass and the machines of God, and I'm sad to know this project will never be completed.
For those who aren't true fans like me *ultimate disdain look*, this is a short animated serie created to concretise the story of Machina/the machines of God (the last published album of the Pumpkins) and Machina II/ Friends and enemies of modern music. At the time they built it, the fans helped by pitching their own ideas and interpretations of the story. It would have been a really cool project if they'd finalized it. Unfortunaltely the band broke up, so I guess the project died with them. The music is mostly taken from Machina II and remixed into more electro/industrial versions. And it could be worth watching it just for the music. To you, fans that disliked all that was made after MCIS, how can you not like that?? Since it was never completed, the animation and the soundtrack are rudimentary, but still very enjoyable. You can find out more info about the whole thing here, and go on youtube to see the other 2 episodes. If you have time (about 7 min.), check this shit out!

Ha! I decided to write a journal entry at last. It's been days I wanted to change my entry but I was too sick or too tired or too stoned. And I finally had that little extra motivation right now, that is finally receiving a response from someone I was eager to hear from. I just feel really good about it, and I actually had to say it.
Now that that's sorted, I honestly don't have much to say, which is also why it's been hard to write something when nothing was happening. But I'll say this: I'm real glad with my new job, especially since I've been very positively evaluated about my retouching skills. I've been told I increased the product's quality in the name of the company!
So now I naturally have more responsibilities, and since the Christmas madness has already started, I've been running everywhere, printing thousands of greeting cards, with machines breaking at a rate of like 9 per minute, so I didn't think about you at all.
Mind you, I only work with three machines.

"People? You mean sheople."
Yes, I know, I didn't go to the burlesque show, even if I said I would, and even if I, myself, was sure to go til the last minute. I could say it's because I'm an antisociable bitch, because I hate people, because I don't need more friends, cause friends are stupid. All that is true, but these would only be reasons to cover the truth. No, in fact, the reality of it is that I didn't want people to discover I'm actually a fat 45-year-old bald asian. I mean, can you really blame me for trying to keep a nice image?
Also, I had an intensive orchestra practice that day. I played violin for like 8 hours in a row, so you can understand I was a little tired. I heard 2 girls talking there, they were saying how hard it was now that they studied at the Conservatory, they had to practice like 8 hours daily if they wanted to keep up, and that wasn't that much... Made me realize how glad I am to be a slacker. I mean, not a total slacker, cause I've got talent, and I do things, but I don't need to be on the top to feel good. I may be no competition material, but at least, I still get to play violin and have fun without having a tendonitis. And I still have a life, I can enjoy other stuff, and I know when I'm older, I'll be able to remember good things, not only staring at my lectern and be stressed to stay the best. Same here, I'm not the most popular girl, but who cares? At least, I get some comments, and my goal is achieved: sharing some pictures of me that I am proud of and speaking my mind openly.
Anyways, anyone who's been in some kind of business, especially related to art of any kind, knows like me that the bigger a name is, the bigger the gap between his butt cheeks. Ok, not all the time, but people who get to the top are usually the ones that never stop their gibberish and annoy anyone they can to do their business. I'm more of the silent type. It doesn't look like it right now, but I usually speak when I actually have something on my mind, you know? I'm not a big 'it's a beautiful day' type of girl. And to conclude, I'll annoy you again with this, and it's gonna add up to my point at the same time: "Well dude, maybe we're just super bad-ass, have you thought of that?"
Enjoiy yourselves bitches. It's a celebration.

I went to see Ladytron last sunday. It kicked some serious ass. I mean it. It was just awesome.
I just saw Boogie Nights. It's really an amazing movie. The guy who made this movie definitely has talent. He also made Magnolia and Punch-drunk love. I think too few people have seen Punch-drunk love. Have you seen it? It's a really surprising movie. And honestly, it's refreshing to see Adam Sandler playing a serious role, and even more refreshing to see that he actually is a good actor.
I'm getting old. You'll see pictures soon enough of those aging eyes, when I stop being lazy, and you'll be disgusted too. You'll see.
Anyways, I've got to say I'm eager to let you hear the last few songs my little man Entheogen has done over the past few days. Let's just say the party's gonna be kickin'.
Cheers to all of those who are getting older... you know who you are... hehehe.

Ok, I'm so excited cause I just learned that my friend Nathan' s throwing a party, and he managed to get no other headliner than fucking Venetian Snares!! I mean, he usually gets a good crowd considering it's in the hardcore scene, but now, he's sure to bring out some folks from the IDM scene... And of course, as in every party he's been throwing since we've met, my lovely Entheogen will be playing there too, under the name of pléonasme. Other artists attending are, for instance, Pneumatic detach from Rhode Island (powernoise) and DJ Tense from New York (hardcore). You can all go check it out on rave.ca
Also, I have to say I'm looking forward to the next month. First of all, it'll be my birthday, so maybe I'll get cool stuff from my parents... and I already have three shows to attend. It's been a while since I've been to a show, and I'm already craving for it. It's also in October that the second part of the 10th season of South Park goes on air, and I have to say the first part was fucking delightful and I just want MORE and MORE!!! And finally, of course, it's gonna be Halloween. I don't have a plan for the night yet, but it's sure to be a crazy night. So, I hope I see you in October, it's gonna be a blast!
And as usual, I hate you all. You are all such fags.

So last night I had a gig with a string quartet for an office's 50th anniversary party at the chalet du Mont-Royal. You couldn't believe how much fun I had. I couldn't believe it myself. We played a shit load of boring pieces, but it was really enjoyable. And well, as most of those business meetings are, nobody really listened carefully to us, since it's really for a background ambience. That removed so much pressure, and we weren't that well prepared, so if somebody fucked up, we'd laugh. We'd speak openly during and between the songs.
But shit, I didn't quite fit in. It showed that they had put a lot of money in this event. I wasn't expecting it to be so classy. First off, they rented slick tables and sofas, you know, white, low, squarish and uncomfortable sofas, really in. There were like blue lights mixed in with the regular ones, cold atmosphere, mixed with the very rustic look of the chalet. They literally served oysters and sushis, and bunch of fancy and tasty shits, I have no clue about what they were. We were served rice noodles and shrimps with coconut milk and tasty truffles. Not to mention I drank on the job... They served litchi liquor and apple liquor flavored vodka, with litchis and apples in each glass. And I definitely have to mention the bar was carved out of fucking ice! I've seen ice sculptures before, but I couldn't have imagined seeing one in such a context. And it was so cool, there were like frozen fruits in it and all... I have to say that I missed my camera at that time.
And although I was with three girls I don't know and who have nothing in common with me, I had a fucking great time with them. And that's hard to believe for such an unsociable girl.

Finally! I can come to my beloved site. For a couple of days, I was able to go on the site, but couldn't see any pictures or page design at all. So it was basically a white background with some random text on it. So if ever you were wondering why I took so long to answer you or whatever, that was why.
I can now say that I am truly satisfied with the job I have (for the moment) since monday. I've been accepted to work in a kinda family portrait studio as a lab technician. So, not only do I get to sit on my ass all day and quietly retouch hundreds of somewhat cute pictures on Photoshop, I DON'T DO CUSTOMER SERVICE. No more fucking stupid pissed-off customer for me to be stuck with. You can't imagine how content it makes me feel.
Plus, tonight I've rejoined a little philarmonic orchestra I've left to study photography, since I'm finished with my studies. It's gonna be good to start playing a little violin again, it's been a while, and it's gonna get my mind on something creative and nice. Well, I guess that's it for now, so enjoy the rest of the day, bitches!
