Fuck yeah.
I hope you're all doing great, I'm good. Especially seeing that baby up in member review, I am quite proud. And Lise should be too, for that awesome makeup job.
Strange how it's basically supposed to be the time of year when everybody's depressed, but I have to admit I'm quite right. My down went more into the holidays, and now I feel motivated. For now at least. How are you guys feeling lately?

Just a quick one to say party on! I hope you got all the presents and the love that you needed. And if you wished for too much, then I hope you didnt get everything and that you got a little slap in the face to snap out of it and leave some for others.
Also, go and give Syrianne some love! I know shes celebrating Halloween, but its no reason to skip it. Shes worked hard to share her celebration with you. And it figures I did too, so go celebrate my first live on this site as a photographer.
As you take your holidays to think of your family and friends, think also of yourself, and of how you can achieve better. I know, resolutions are lame and depressing, but its not a bad thing to set up objectives sometimes. You are worth making the effort once in a while. No need to treat yourself like garbage, and for that, you certainly dont have the right to treat others that way either. You are your friends and family too, think about it.

Hi guys! Thanks for your comments on my last blog. I see there aren't only stupid people here
I didn't show up at the SG party yesterday, (I hope you had a nice evening) and I have a very good reason for it. I went to an underground party, meaning a party that was underground, literally. It was Niiiiice!!
Let me put you in context: There is this crazy french (from France) crew that organized a lot of parties a couple of years ago. They used to find really nice rooms for their parties, old lofts, spaces to rent in industrial areas... and you had to pay 5, 10$ for the party. After a while, the money paid for their equipment, so the parties became free. These guys were real party people, I mean, they were recked on booze and all sorts of drugs and still jumping around at 5am, and at least once a month. I won't say I'm reckless as they were, but it keeps a party going
Two of these parties were done outside, in tunnels and under a highway, we're talking real clandestine here. I've been to the one under a highway, 2 years ago. And it was one of the best parties. It was small (40-50 people tops) dirty, gritty, unsafe, illegal, and so much fun. The music was real nice, they installed a trampoline where you could've easily hit your head on the concrete above, where all the cars passed but couldn't know you were there. Fun.
But like any story of party and drugs with close friends, it turned to shit after a while. They were always fighting and were way too wasted to be productive. But apparently, these 2 particular parties were spoken of and recalled a lot, because they decided to throw a new one yesterday. I tried to invite all the people I could, as they HAD to try it, but nobody wanted or could, so we ended up just me and my boyfriend. We hesistated, since it was far and late when we decided to go, but we still did. And all night I thought, everybody else, sucks to be you.
It wasn't too hard to find, as it was real close to my old job, near a bridge by the river. The entrance was a fence, and you had to walk straight in a tunnel for a couple minutes, in the dark. Incidentally, I took pictures of that entrance last year while exploring that neighborhood. These are the only pictures I have, I would've looooved having my camera yesterday... Here it is:

(mind you, this was in springtime. It wasn't as dirty yesterday.)
They advised to bring a flashlight, but we didn't have one, so we brought... a candle. Real old school! But I don't know, it enhanced the experience... So you walked in the dark, with a flickering dim light, and gradually, you heard a bassline coming... you saw a couple of lights flashing ahead and a couple of heads bouncing... people lighting their ways with their cells... just for that, we were super excited. The feeling was great. Then, at the end of that tunnel, you just had to enter the next tunnel, and there it was. 2 dj tables, colored lights, visuals distorted by the tunnel, a crowd, dancing in gravel to actually good music, and a huge pipe coming out of the ground and following the round ceiling. Fantastic. The atmosphere was spot on. And there were a lot of people for the type of party! There were probably around 200 people coming and going in the whole night. This time, we actually thought of bringing water... And people were generally very friendly and mature to our surprise, with only a handful of drunken idiots (which party doesn't have its share?). It was a success. I got home in the morning, I'm tired and dirty, but that was the best party I went to in at least the last 2 years.
By the way, I didn't take the job. So I'm still poor and technically free, although I'm more busy than I ever was while working full time. Tell me if you want to plan something...

Ok, it's been more than a week since I wanted to talk about the eIections, I know I'm late on the subject, I've been busy elsewhere, but I still completely think what I'm going to say. CALM THE FUCK DOWN. You crazy southern guys... I won't deny that Obama had to win this election. For many obvious reasons.
But seriously, I feel nauseated by all that raw emotion everywhere, especially in here. I don't know how many people said they cried while listening to his speech. Suddenly, you're the greatest country in the world. You're amazing. You're a 'post-racial' nation. What the fuck. Yes, yes, you've elected a black president. Congrats, you've made a little step forward. Of course, he's gonna undo a lot of shit Bush put you -and the rest of the world- through. But hey, he's still a fucking democrat. He still supported the patriot act and although he won't support every military occupation, he still talks about terrorism and about staying the military big shot. The democrats are still responsible for the super cool DMCA. He's still very center right. For those who say he's far left, you don't fucking know what far left is. It's a step forward, but that step is to keep up with the rest of the civilized world.
But ok, I still understand the cheering. Your country has been in a downward spiral for some time now, an yes, he might help to slow the movement down. And I have to admit, if I was in your shoes, as someone who hates stupidity and illogical thinking, I think I would've gone completely mad with rage if Palin would've made it in the government. I think THAT would've made me cry. And just the fact she's made it in the campaign shows that you'd reached a new low. I don't remember seeing a republican campaign that hit rock bottom as much. It was simply pathetic, an unthinkable government. And yes, even if many countries are more advanced than yours on many points, it will proabbly somewhat help the current international situation. For one thing, it'll probably calm my beloved PM Harper in his neo-con excesses.
But you know what Obama is really all about? Redemption. He's singing you a lullaby to help you sleep after your bad dream. It's all a question of context, really. Redemption. Would've Obama been elected if you hadn't spent 8 years with W? I'm pretty sure not. No need for an extreme choice without an extreme past. You needed that so you could forget about Guantanamo Bay, about Iraq, about your reputation in the rest of the world. It's all over now, you made the right choice. But still, prop 8 and all the other props against gay rights passed. You're still far from free press, your media is still complete garbage. Creationism is still trying to get through classroom doors, even if it's prohibited. The popular vote was still pretty even between the 2 guys. And you know, if Clinton would've been the blue candidate, I'm pretty sure McCain would've won. Cause a ton of you would rather vote for a black man than a white woman.
And your politics are still a cruel joke. For all those who said your democracy is great, you couldn't be more wrong. Your electoral system is super complicated, subject to errors and frauds. People are extremely ill-informed. To cite an example, you've had your historical high at about 66% of the population voting. We had our historical low at about 59%. Find what's wrong... Also, there is no fucking subject matter in your campaign. Hearing candidates speak of their childhood and their dogs and their wives doesn't giveaway at all how they intend to govern. And let's talk about hope. And change. Aren't these words familiar? Aren't these words the core of all Obama's campaign? Cause it's all very vague, isn't it? It was all about hooking people on raw emotions, and it worked very well. As I said, all those people hysterical, crying, and you don't exactly know why. Some guy yells 'hope and change' and you all go crazy. It doesn't mean anything. It's still only campaigning. It's a way to make you appeal to the trend, it's just another way to say: forget W now. Hush, I'm here to save you. He's your precious savior, your messiah. What's important now is to know if he's gonna stick to his promises. Cause it's all nice to hope and hope, but if you just sit there and hope, nothing's gonna happen. I'm quoting Carlin here, fuck hope. Fuck hope. Fuck your twinkle. It's a fucking meaningless animal emotion. It's not gonna save the world. It's ok to think positive, as long as you do something. But the problem with hoping is that's just what it is. Hope. And nothing else. When you stop hoping, you get out of the haze and start thinking. And acting. Don't tell me about hope and faith and how you gotta keep smiling. Cause anyways, if things really do get better for you, in 4 or 8 years, you're gonna go red again and forget this even happened.
Now go ahead and drag me down and tell me I don't have a heart or I'm ignorant or of bad faith. Me and my friends have been precisely predicting this since last year. And whatever you say, I'm not that impressed by a black president. Historical moment. Yeah... sorry, not for me.

Wow. I didn't even have time to get over with the last job, I was offered another one. What crazy timing is this?? Although I have to say I'm still a little hesitating, cause I really wanted to take some time off. I'm so cool that people want me all over the place! hehe I think I might be taking it, but still wait a couple weeks to get the weight off a bit. And anyways it's part time, which is perfect, cause it's basically the same job I used to do, i.e. sit in front of a computer all day long, and I've had my share for now... Still, it's something more to put on my cv, so I won't say no.
Yesterday was some crazy day, halloween was a nice day to be the last at work, since I was given candy and people seemed a little more light-hearted than usual. And I had like 3 different options to spend the night, and neither one was chosen. I just sat at my place with a coworker and we drank and smoked and talked and watched the evil dead and some crazy animation. And it was perfect really. Just what I needed.
To get back to my last day at work, I've been told nice and touching things by employees, but nothing by the big boss, who hasn't commented once on my departure in 2 weeks notice. Last thing she told me was to print out something for her on the phone, and nothing else. But hey, that's exactly why I quit the job anyways. She's sure gonna notice it soon, as apparently someone else decided to quit last week too. It's the kind of thing that happens there, about once or twice a year, that about 5 to 12 employees quit in a short period of time, cause they all realize at the same time that it sucks there.
Too bad for them, cause I'm giving my talented ass to some other people who are maybe going to appreciate it more.
What have you done for halloween?

Just wanted to say I'll be giving my resignation tomorrow, for a job I had for more than 2 years now. It's probably the best job I had in my short carreer, so I'm kind of scared I'll never find something as nice, but at the same time I've never been more sick of working for someone. I'm profoundly against their product and their management, so I can't go on with them.
In a similar direction, I won't be working for a month or two (not more than that I hope) cause I'm extremely tired. When I look in the mirror, it seems there's been 5 years passing rather than one. I'm wrinkled and green and full of pimples... I really need to take it easy. So that also means I have more time for myself, and also for you! So maybe -just maybe- I'll be giving you some more time on the site, and if not, feel free to contact me if you feel like doing any projects with me, I feel rather creative lately, and I really want to concentrate on photos, or maybe modelling??? That'll depend if I'm still looking old in a couple weeks.
I'm sending a little wink to Lise here, as I collaborated in a couple projects with her and loved it. I would really like to renew the experience my dear.
I've been away forever, what's new with you guys??

I was about to change my entry the other day, but the same day I learned Carlin was dead. So I decided I'd let it hang a bit... Thanks for people adding nice words for him too. Funny timing. I made a tribute to him just before his time, therefore, I must've killed him! Oh, the guilt!
Yeah, ok, enough of that.
On a more egocentric note, I have modeled for my coworker a couple weeks ago, it had been a while since I shot, like, cool, clothed shots. So here's a few. The rest shall be in the usual egocentric folder. Enjoy!

"We have more ways to describe dirty words than we actually have dirty words. That seems a little strange to me. It seems to indicate that somebody was awfully interested in these words. They kept refering to them.
They call them bad, dirty, filthy, foul, vile, vulgar, coarse, in poor taste, unseemly, street talk,
gutter talk, locker room language, barracks talk, bawdy, naughty, saucy, raunchy, rude, crude, lude, lascivious, indecent, profane, obsene, blue, off color, risqué, suggestive, cursing, cussing, swearing
and all I could think of was shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker and tits!"
- George Carlin (the seven words)
Of course, hearing it with all the different intonations and the whole context makes it even funnier...
Now that's a guy I respect. There's someone who fucking understood everything. So many things he's said made me react and think... and he dropped all his bombs the best way: with comedy. Yes, this blog was dedicated to George Carlin; I bow down to that man. You should too. Like now. Are you STILL just sitting on your chair??
All my monkey love to you guys it's been a while.

I will ask you kindly- or beg you discreetly.
Please, please and pretty please, go on Google Video and see The Century of the Self by Adam Curtis.
It is a four part documentary on our modern society, and it is very well built and told. You might just learn something there. I know I did, and I think these are facts that we ought to know- especially in America. The first part is more on the earliest part of the 20th century, and the other parts follow the chronology- thus, if you feel more concerned about your actual era, you ought to go look more into the 3rd and 4th parts of the documentary. But I beg you- do it.
Please. Maybe I'll like you better afterwards.
*If you don't agree with me-- call me names if you want to, but it won't do much, it doesn't affect me. Debate with me- you might be getting my attention.*
