It's definitely been a while. Too much happening at the same time, and too little motivation to do anything.
I'm sure I'll be back eventually, when I have some more time on my hands. And I'm pretty sure that'll happen. I just needed to drop by for one thing today, and it is to lay something off my chest.
I am breaking up with my partner. I am slowly starting a single life. For those who know me a little, you realize it is a big deal. I've been with my boyfriend since before I even became an SG. We've been together for 7, almost 8 years. So it's kind of a shock and a big, big change. I mean, I haven't been single since I was 17 years old. It's a new step into adulthood I never took before: being by myself. It is something. I am slowly coping with it, accepting it and reconfigurating my life, but the hardest part has yet to come.
So that's really all I needed to say today, it's a big chunk to spit out. I'll be looking for a roommate. And I have decided that it'll have to be a girl. I think what I need right now is a nice friendship, and it's been too long since I had a serious one with a woman. I love guys, and I get along great with them. But I also realize we all need women on our lives. Don't you?

Wow...I'm sorry to hear about this. However, it sounds as though you're coping well...I'm glad for that.
I think it's a great idea to actively cultivate a strong female friendship. To be honest, finding out that a woman has no female friends sets off a bunch of red flags for me.

No, just putting it out there because I love the cover. And every second of the record, of course. Nice on the Worlock and Last Rights vinyl. You know, ever since I heard the track Left Handshake, it struck me how incomplete I think Last Rights is without it. I mean, it would definitely be the best Puppy record if that ill-fated "Song #10" (Left Handshake) was not so missing. As it is, I frankly consider Last Rights and Too Dark Park to be relatively equal.
Speaking of Rabies, though, right after I graduated college wayyyyyy back in 1996, I wrote cEVIN a few emails. Of course, this was not too long after Dwayne's death, so I can only imagine what kind of emotional state cEV was in, but he responded to them relatively kindly and promptly. (Dare I say, just try to get him to do that now.) In one of them, I asked him in what sense was my beloved Spahn Dirge a "live" recording. (I'd always wanted to know that at the time.) And he gave me good details! I've got it saved somewhere, so I'll quote it back to you someday, but suffice to say for now that it wasn't "live" in the traditional sense of a concert.
