Who's going to Comic-Con?! Which days? Myself, I believe I'll just be there for one day, though Friday or Saturday I can't be sure. If you see me, make sure you stop and say hello! Eeeeeeeee!!
Got my 360 back from being repaired! They decided to just send a new one. Unfortunately though, my Live account is not active at the moment due to lack of funds.
I started writing a weekly column for the Newswire. Please check out the Leaked Conundrum and the the Ivy Overfloweth.
Haha! I just came upon this photo while going through old blog entries. It's from 2005 when a bunch of us were working the Magic Convention in Vegas.

And then there's this. An illustrated crying baby I tried to do, but it went horribly wrong.

Thanks for all the positive comments on the G4 Clip!
I'm feeling really tired lately. A couple weeks ago I was diagnosed with this inconvenient autoimmune disease of sorts. The medication they gave me worked for a couple weeks, and then stopped. They reran the initial tests and the results were worse than the first time so they had to up my dosage a couple weeks ago, but it still hasn't kicked in. It is so inconvenient. I literally have zero energy. I want to nap all the time. My hands and legs have been achy, which is a lovely extra symptom, as is weight gain, wee. I just cannot wait for this new dosage to kick in. Last time, it was amazing. I couldn't remember the last time I felt so great. I went into turbo 50's housewife mode, cooking and cleaning. No more depression.. Hurry up, stupid pills! I should say it's nothing serious! Just inconvenient.
I miss my 360 so much. It's been out for repair for over two weeks now. Those bastards. The customer support folks insist it shouldn't take more than 3 days for repair, alas, they've had it for around 10 days now. But hopefull this means they are actually fixing it this time! Watching Die Hard, and seeing all the Gears of War has made me really want to play it. At least briefly. Instead, I'm stuck with the Wii. Not so bad. I rented Super Paper Mario from Gamefly, and it's been pretty amusing. I like flipping from 2d to 3d. I've only played through one chapter though. Boo to little time!
If I had more time, I'd be playing more WoW, damnit. My Warlock is progressing sooooo slowly. It's sad! Transfers to Antonidas just opened so now all my characters are over there. My lonely 60s from Dark Iron now live there, in PvE kindness. Yay! Except I'm not allowed to play them until the Warlock gets to 70. So the other day I was over on ebay bidding on the King Mukla loot card, got outbid, and then had the fella that outbid me message me! Three cheers for AnalogPussy and his awesomeness... And for Bananas! Thank you again SO much.

Hope you guys are going to BlizzCon August 3rd and 4th! I'm psyched! The last one was so much fun. Much debauchery. And I certainly cannot wait for the all announcements.. hopefully they'll give out some details on the next expansion! So it'd be fun to meet up with whoever is going.
Well, that's all for now! Keep your fingers crossed for me on more G4 fun stuff pleeeease! ![]()
I guess it's time I should update. Sooooo I really thought I bombed my screen test. I was hideously nervous and was convinced I dropped the ball, and definitely wouldn't be getting called back. I kicked myself all day, cause that's how I roll. It was just kind of hard to shake off all the nervousness, or at least channel it into excitement. Everything was so new, you know? Anyway! Friday I got an email toward the end of the day asking me to come in Wednesday for rehearsal, and Thursday for shooting! They're being pretty rad. They arranged for a car to pick me up and bring me in, wait around and then drive me back home. After today's rehearsal, I'm pretty excited for tomorrow. Hair and makeup, then shooting! It'll air tomorrow 7ET/PT ... ON G4TV! Attack of the Show, to be exact. I'm reading The Feed for that day. It's just a one off for this time though. Get a feel for everything, etc. but maybe it will lead to more work at G4 later on!
Tomorrow I've also a reading for another show at G4. A pilot, I believe, and it is right up my alley, so keep your fingers crossed that that goes well!
I really would love one of these, but then, who wouldn't want a lifesize David Tennant by their bed? If they weren't so terribly expensive, and you know, they shipped to the US, I would SO totally buy one of the Doctor, and a couple Daleks. Set anyone?
Speaking of sets, man, I think it's really time I get a new one! And hopefully if plans don't change, I'll be shooting one with my favorite photographer tomorrow after the G4 shoot and read!
So once again, catch me in video action on Attack of the Show on G4TV tomorrow! Show starts at 7ET/PT but will of course be available online too. Will update with a URL when it becomes available.
PS. Anyone else on pownce?

I'm nervous. Ultra super mega nervous. I've got an audition in LA tomorrow. A screen test, if you will. For what? I'm not telling! It's been about a year since it was first brought up, and finally, I'm actually going to give it a go. I don't think I could be any more nervous. Oh, scratch that! Tomorrow morning I will be having giggle fits and passing out. Really, it's no big deal I'm sure. It'll be fun, she said! I think I'm mostly just afraid of really, really sucking thus causing shame to the person/people that talked me up to the talent department for such a long time. I'll get in front of the camera, look at the teleprompter and immediately turn into Miss Turbo Speed Mumble Mouth. Thankfully I do have the script in front of me, but length of it is overwhelming! Oh man! Nervous! I have no idea what to even wear.
My 360 was finally sent back to be repaired. It's all Orb's fault, enabling me to watch Dr. Who and such. It's been busted for months now, hence why I haven't been on at all. I mentioned the weird flickers along the texture seams and appearance of a "sketch mode'. I'm still annoyed that they didn't fix it when it was originally sent in. What the heck did they even do to it? Within a couple hours of turning it on, the flickers and lines on the dashboard were right there. I wish they'd send a receipt of repair that lists just what they replaced. Like Apple does!
There's an advert on the television right now for single wrapped prunes. What the hell ...
I got a haircut. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it.

I feel old. I never understood people that just sat around waiting for life to happen to them, rather than actively seek out change. Doesn't that just lead to a life of regret? The passing of D.R.E, at a considerably young age really puts things into perspective. Unfortunately not necessarily for the right people needing that change of perspective.
Anyway. Here's a picture of my little Ziggatron:

Today I had my very first shooting experience, all thanks to seanbonner. Scopitone and I, along with his two little bros headed down to LA to the gun club for some fine birthday shooting. At this moment in time, I cannot think of a more awesome birthday experience. Though last night, Indian food and the Piano Bar with most of my favorite people was pretty damn fun. Back to shooting, I've never been more excited and scared at the same time. I was all cool and fine going in, but once Sean said it was time, oh man! The first gun was a 9mm HK USP. He fired one round and I saw the blast and literally wanted to cry. It took much psyching up to fire that first shot. I had visions of just flying straight back, or it exploding in my face. It wasn't quite so bad, but I'm not a fan of the casings flying at me.
The second gun was a .38 revolver. It was fucking awesome. I'm going to die tomorrow because I fired the damn thing so much. Unlike the 9mm, I could actually aim it decently. Headshots ftw. Check out the awesome picture below for my rad beginner's luck skills. The boys also got a .44 Magnum. I handled it briefly, firing once, but opted for my smaller .38 fun.
The last gun was a carbine rifle from WW2. Sean's friend had just got it. I was terrified to fire it! Just holding it, I thought it would blow out my shoulder. For a girl with weak, skinny arms, that thing was really hard to handle, aim and fire. My support arm was shaking after firing twice. I'm afraid of how the right one is going to feel tomorrow. The kickback was a little more apparent on it for me.
Upon paying out at the end, I was offered free shotgun birthday fun. Free. Shotgun. Fun. But after firing a box of bullets for the half hour before, my arms felt like jello. Heck, even if they hadn't, I'm not sure if a shotgun would be the best starter gun.
Anyway, this is getting lengthy. But now I've got gun fever and I just want to go back and shoot some more. Curse you Sean! Best birthday idea ever. I do wish I wasn't sooo terribly sore right now though!
And pictures, of course:

It's possible I've gone cat crazy, so for that I am sorry, but please enjoy more kitty pictures! He came home last night. As far as names go, I've been calling him Ziggy, because he has dark silver zig zags on him. Scopitone isn't too into that name, and offered up Robin and Cosby. Cosby the cat is kind of sticking. Kittybutt is a little unsure of everything. She started cleaning him immediately after meeting, but quickly started to play a little too rough. There hasn't been any hissing! The new kitty is so precious! He still has his blue eyes!
I've not really been up to much lately apart from spending time with Photoshop. My 360 is busted again. I don't think they bothered to repair it the last time it was sent in. It came back with the same flickering issue. It's definitely worse now. Previously, it'd take at least a half hour of game time to start the flickers, now it's immediate. The best is in Saint's Row. There are black lines attached from the character to his shadow, so it looks like a really cheesy photoshop filter.
Oh! I haven't mentioned it yet, but tragicflaw is amazing. Thanks to him, my MBP runs sooo much better now. It no longer sounds like a helicopter about to take off! It was certainly worth the drive to Pasadena. Plus he was a totally nice guy.
My birthday is in a week and a half! I get to be older! Yeah!!
I think I am going to take a 2.5 mile walk to Jamba Juice. I would really love a peach perfection. Mmm. Hopefully Kittybutt doesn't hurt Cosby while I'm out!

More kitty under the spoiler!
