I'll leave you this advice, since you said it was shyness with a fella: Guys are easy, he'll be pleased. Ask him somewhere you are really comfortable (restaurant, bar, museum whatever). If he says no he is either already involved or a head case and not worth the effort.

Off to look at the set (after I'm done catching up with everyone else). One last thought: in a lot of ways, 30 was my most dreaded birthday but it turned out to be one of the best nights of my life. My 30's have been a blast - no moping, as my grandpa always told me - getting older is much better than the alternative. It only gets better.

If i were you i would dress up as hulk hogan and ask him out. It's fun and a great way to conquer your shyness

As for guys... we're easy and definitely flattered when picked up. I only met you once and if he's anything like me (a heart beat, brain and male genitalia) he'll turn into a puddle when you look at him. I don't have a problem with talking to people, even cute girls, but you made me nervous as hell...could of been the zombie make-up

The key is to practice all day, have small talk with as many people as possible, the girl at the coffee counter, person on the bus, cute waiter, etc, warm up, you stretch and walk before you run
And then when you see him talk to him like everyone else

I used to be like that and found out that the best way to beat shyness is to just pretty much go talk to the person, start a conversation and ask him if he wants to continue talking over coffee.

Your interesting, intelligent, cute and I bet you smell nice too. You've hosted video game shows, and jumped out of perfectly good airplanes. Just start with something simple, coffee, beer, bacon. It sucks being shy, but you seam to be able to over come it well, if only for short times. Once he gets to know you you'll have a fantastic time together.
