I survived skydiving! Woo! I can absolutely say that was the best experience in my life so far. Life changing, in fact. Hurling yourself out of a plane at 120mph definitely adds some perspective.

I was incredibly nervous leading up to the jump, but once we got around 16,000 feet, and everyone started getting ready, my nerves disappeared. Suddenly, at 18,000 feet, my instructor was saying go go go, get your feet out the door, as we scooted across the airplane floor. It was incredibly cold windy as I hung out my feet outside the plane and thought, this is it. Seconds later I was falling through the air, feeling the intensity of the wind against every inch of my body. Never once did I feel scared nor in danger, or maybe I was just so content with everything, I didn't care. I do wish I was a little less tensed, because it was really hard to move my arms around to good pictures, heh.

Then he pulled the parachute cord and back up we went, hurling around while the parachute opened and settled in the wind. My face hurt from smiling so much as we soared around. The ocean, the mountains, from so high up, so fucking beautiful. I've never felt so alive.

I've tried to put together words to accurately describe the intensity and life-affirming moment, and it's impossible. I just keep thinking, omg, I fell out of an airplane. On purpose! That's crazy talk!

Here's the video of my jump! (the audio is off, sorry!)

haha knew you'd love something like that. When I did it in New Zealand... I swear the feeling you get after should be bottled and would sell better than any street drug. It was amazing. I'm so glad you took the plunge.

You guys are soooo frakking adorable! I now wish I would have gone and done it too! I might have to plan a personal skydive trip here in the future just because you guys seem to have loved it so much.

PS - Soooo good to see you in a happy mood love!

I've skydived twice and it is definitely a rush! Did you guys do the spins after the parachute opened.. where you pull really hard on one side? That was super fun smile

Everyone must do it at least once in their life.
Congrats on living life!!

Wau!

Most beautiful video that we've given me love and especially as you described all the feelings lived, I liked it very much. Congratulations, I do not know if I would have thrown.

Great video, great pics. I felt the exact same way - one of my all-time favourite experiences.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

You should try hang gliding next - you feel so much like a bird it's uncanny. And it lasts for 30 minutes or longer!

Which part is more fun, free-falling or parachuting?
