I have a new set in Member Review! Please comment on it! It was shot by the wonderful nicolletta a few weeks ago while she was visiting up here. We shot it in my bedroom. So please check out Amor!

It's so amazingly beautiful in San Francisco today! I'm having one of those life is so great days. It might stem from the fact that I've gone back into climbing. My gear has been sitting in my closet for almost ten months. Last Saturday I went back and seriously hurt afterward. Barely completed any V0s bouldering. A bit embarrassing. However last night I went back, completed some more difficult problems and did some toproping as well. I missed it so much. Almost enough to start going in the morning before work.

Another thing making me ultra happy today is... I bought a bike! Finally! I've been shopping for the past week, trying to figure out what I want, and today I finally pulled the trigger. Picked up a sweet surly crosscheck. All black. Riding back to work on it was a bit intense. The last time I'd actually been on a bike was probably in.. '92?! Ridiculous!

I don't know.. I feel like the last month, and my trip to Canada was really eye-opening for me. I've lessened the drinking a whole ton, and am trying to swap out bar nights with healthier activities. Even if I do go to the bar, it's one drink and that's it. I also met a kid that's really reminded me of the lifestyle I used to want. He's completely nomadic and actually living life. So I've been planning weekend trips to get the most out of the summer, like July 10th-11th is my white water rafting trip! Exciting!!

That set's beautiful. I'm sure you had some people feeling "amor" for you after seeing it. smile
It also inspired me to tell Jaylin she needs to do one. It's been a while for her.

I really should get a new bike, and take advantage of the new trail near here. Or hike it. But climbing is Not For Me - acrophobia. frown

bikes ftw!

i've found that getting out more on the weekends is easier if i keep the 4 hour drive test...
open up google maps... see what there is within a 4 hour drive of you. then turn on the photos option and start clicking and planning a drive around a destination that is within 4 hours of driving.
General Sherman (worlds/californias largest tree) is on the list... and on the way there is a awesome pancake house, lil brewery, and anvil factory... thats stupid fun waiting to happen.
~cheers with your beers!

You sound like you are in the same place as I. I am jealous that you have goine out hiking though. BUT, before too long I will be doing some hiking and camping too. I get to live where that sort of thing happens more often than where I am now. smile

Keep the wheels rolling honey. It sounds like you are on the right track. Oh..and of course I love the new set! biggrin

Yet again, an excellent set from you.

Sounds like you're being good to yourself, which is a wonderful thing. I can seem to be consistent with that sort of behavior, but I try.

One of the best ways to enjoy San Francisco is on a bike. The ride over the bridge to Marin is pretty spetcacular as well.
