I'm really sorry!!! I know how hard it is loosing someone you care about. So many feelings we go through when something like this happens. Take the time to morn your friend and don't keep the feelings in. The best thing that helped me recently is the ability to talk about it. Take care!!!! You're in my thoughts.

I totally hear you. My gf's Mom had a heart attack last week and triple bypass this week. She's a really amazing lady, so it was tough to hear, and obviously even more so for my partner. Now, to top it off I'm alone in the house while she's home with her parents for a while during the recovery. I'm a pretty independent person, but it's still weird to be here all by myself, especially when she's dealing with all that thousands of miles away.

im sorry about your loss. it sounds like this was a 'net friend, which is always harder somehow. you feel like you missed getting to know them better and there's this since of unfinishedness, more so sometimes than someone you saw more recently physically.

either way, relish the moments you had with them, that's what I've been doing with my puppy (passed right before i came to europe)

My mum died suddenly 9 weeks ago so i know better than to say i'm sorry, it doesn't help!

Just drink lots, cry lots and try to sleep. Sucks your kitie isn't comforting you, wish i could lend you mine!
Its horrible to lose someone suddenly,
A friend told me recently that writing down all the little things about the person will help. Because over time you might start to forget the somewhat trivial things. I've started mine but its still too soon since i lost her ....

i hate to be the one to tell you, but most cats are like that. ive got two and anytime i cry and get upset and look to them to cuddle, they freak out and run away.
