It's never easy to lose a friend...the only thing that I've found to help with that is remembering the best of them, and keeping their memory alive. I'm sure he knows how much you appreciated him, though...most friends do, even if they don't say it.

My best friend and brother died quite unexpectedly last year... it doesn't make it any easier, but I find it satsifying to consider how much better off I am having known and lost him than never met him at all.

A friend dying is sad, but as long as you remember them, they (quite literally) changed the world.
