But first I must say that robot_vs_monkey is the most fun ever, and I am going to steal his car. We hung out in LA on Wednesday for a large portion of the day. Armed with a plate of big, hard, grilled vegetables and a glass of Chardonnay, we sat in a bar and grill at the 3rd Street Promenade playing Mario Kart and Mario Bros on our sexy DS Lites. Earlier in the day I had the honor of meeting with helen_jupiter and gosh, you guys are in for an upcoming newswire treat! Later in that day, I got to hang out with three mystery people over in OJ's murderland. During dinner, I believe I consumed the best wine I've ever tasted. Mmm. So good. I want more. I can't wait to see those folks again.

Totally unrelated, who all is going to Comic-Con in a couple weeks? I'm heading down hopefully Thursday through Sunday, and I'd love to have some folks, of the non creepy persuasion to hang out with. I'm so excited for the Battlestar Galactica panel. And... SNAKES ON A MOTHA FUCKIN' PLANE PANEL!!

hmm. not sure i can take friday off work, being as i'm still the new guy. maybe you could use your influence to put in a word for me? 
i'd love to go to the con, though.
i haven't been to a con since dragon*con 2003. i went to d*con every year for ten years and then finally broke the spree when i moved to cali.
my take on panels is that they tend to be overcrowded, filled with people asking silly questions and poorly ventilated/air-conditioned. maybe i could sneak in a sports bottle with a refreshing beverage and that'll keep me from fidgeting for an hour. now, the question is, how many outifits should i bring?
