So I made a post in the World of Warcraft group for a friend of mine, asking people who also play on a low-population server to contribute to a thread on the General Forums, which is MEANT for making suggestions and complaining to the company about in-game problems, because we got stuck on a server that's so small, everyone knows each other.

You would think that the people who didn't care about this issue would, you know, not read it? Maybe even not comment and move on with their lives? Especially since it's just a video game I've spent hundreds of dollars playing, and I'd like for everyone, including myself, to be able to enjoy the hobby we've invested so much in.

But no. Instead, I got eyerolls and nasty comments basically telling me to shut up.

Every time I start to become more active on this site, I find good reasons to stop. Fucking rude assholes.

I play WOW also I'm not on a low pop server though. I started playing when the game first came out and then have gone back and forth over the years. what server are you on. I didnt een realize there was low pop servers. i also didnt know there was a WOW group on SG LOL

That's just how people here are. They're completely elitist unless you post -all- the time and manage to pass their posting standards. I saw a terrible couple of posts in the kitten group to a SG the other day. Sorry people are being caty bitches to you.

You should come on over to Kirin Tor. We got a pretty small community, but enough to run anything anytime basically. Couple of decent raid guild both horde and alliance side (I'm GM of the farthest Alliance guild).

But yeah, there's always the asshats in WoW, that's unavoidable. If you don't transfer, I hope Blizz works something out for people on the "Forsaken" servers, it's not fair to just let them rot.

Also, anywhere near Orlando?

Been on Illidan since day one, pretty large server, though I'd recommend joining a high pop. At least you have options guild wise...

I play on Silver Hand. It's an RP server where no one RPs, but being an RP server tends to scare the battle.net kiddies away so I'll live with the stigma. Unfortunately, we had a server split just before the expansion because of overpopulation on the Alliance side. Well barely any Alliance left, and now the Horde side is barely around.

Blizzard definitely needs a better method for balancing server populations.
