Ha ha. I remember this one time being bored in my room and just lying on the floor staring at the ceiling when something caught my eye. I turned my head towards it and saw that was this huge ass mother fucker centipede crawling around on the carpet.

Not necessarily, most invertebrates do not care for their young after the eggs are layed. Some centipede species will stay until the eggs are hatched, but that's about as far as they go.
