Life is great, I'm still chugging along past all the goals and deadlines.

I've been escaping into books lately. Having just finished reading American Gods, I am excited to read more books by Neil Gaiman! I rarely find myself able to read every single word in a book, often skipping to the bits of dialogue, but with his writing I am happy to languor in his unusual descriptions of even mundane things.

I went bra shopping and will no longer be buying those loathsome foam cup bras ever again, the ones that make boobs look like rocket ships or soccer domes. I've discovered unlined bras that are comfortable and allow my nipples to say hello when they like, which I find incredibly sexy, more so than mountains of cleavage. This also fulfills my life long dream of (almost) going bra less. biggrin

Other than that, I finished a few paintings:

I'm really proud of this one! biggrin It's 48"x58", which is huge. It inspired me to keep working big, so all of the paintings that I'm doing for my next show are huge. It's been a challenge to do 6 (amazing) big paintings in a row in 6 weeks. I had to paint over one because I hated it and I've struggled with other things, but today I have a photo shoot with a new model, so I think this will get me back on track with fresh ideas.

I've let myself do some 1-day paintings so that I can keep working without burning myself out.

This one is only 20"x16", which used to be my normal working size. Ha ha.

Holy frak your work is amazing.

Funny story, I recently bought a female costume for myself to wear and went bra shopping for it. I chose one of those foam cup bras you don't like because I thought it would make my fake breasts look more realistic. Hey what do I know about bras? lol.

Your work is captivating!
And totally agreed on nipple definition being sexier than cleavage Haha! - (not that I'm hating on cleavage mind you...)

Perhaps you could build a set around your new lingerie. Maybe a story involving your search for that free and comfortable feeling. Going from that foamed look to a more natural look.smile

You are so gifted. Every time I get to see more of your artwork I am impressed again. One of these days I'm going to make a trip so that I can see them live instead of just on here. Keep up the great work.

I just got done reading American Gods for the second time about a week ago. Definitely in my top ten list of favorite books. Stardust is pretty good too but the movie is just horrid.

So excited for your upcoming show!

Neil Gaiman is an amazing writer. My favourite book of his has always been Neverwhere. Also, the Sandman series, totally in a class by themselves.

About the bra thing: I'm STILL confused why non-padded bras are essentially non existent in N. America. Where I'm from padded bras are the exception. I've hunted for almost 5 years now for good unpadded bras. Only makes sense I would have had to go to a Euroean shop to find them (;

PS Did I ever give you UnLunDun to read? If not and you're looking for a new book you should borrow it. I personally think China Mieville is an even better writer than Gaiman and he writes about similarly captivating worlds and stories (: (also he crosses the gap between Science Fiction and Fantasy so perfectly!)

Gorgeous. I loveh ow I almost missed the face emerging between the hands. It changes the image from supplicant to hopeless. That changing emotional story is so real the image is almost 4-dimensional.
