I was eating lunch on gyno row at the local strip club last Sunday, when i had an epiphany.
I have never seen anyone with special needs in the erotic dance industry!
.....and i think i know why.
Our federal government's free health care system (that's right you yanks, we don't pay a cent for pap smears ;-) ) has completely overlooked making any kind of provisions for those with disabilities to make any kind of headway into this lucrative profession!!
I have yet to see one wheelchair ramp enabling stage access at a club, let alone guide rails (unless you consider the pole i guess).
Now that I realize this, I feel I have no choice. I am going to do the right thing.
On a going forward basis petitions will be distributed nationwide (ask your local bus driver....the one driving the short bus), to lobby the goverment for funding.
At the outset I am only requesting the essential neccessities of ;special needs strppers' be covered (ie: assistants to aid in clothing removal, etc)
I have a feeling that once word gets out accross Canada that our goverment is aware of and is addressing this need; there will be a huge spike in the number of handicapped people employed in the adult entertainment industry....
It feels really good at the end of the day knowing i am making a difference.

As a side note....
Once the details are worked out with Duct Tape (c) (our umbrella sponsor), the launch date for the 1st ever annual "Leprosy Classic" golf tournament should be announced for fall 2005....

To be honest I didn't understand many things from what you've said due to the fact that I don't speak english very good but its good that some people think like you and others.

I've been trying to organise something along those lines for years here in the US. I've always said, "just cause she doesn't have any legs, doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to pay her to get naked."

i got extensions once at pretty eclectic. partied with them <i was there FOREVER and they bought us lunch lol> and they brought us to their house <karen and steph> they own the place. and they fed us and we stayed at their place lol they are great. they are mega $$ though but they love us so i got a discount. buty yeah i hear you on everything lol

Actually, there was an American woman who stripped and was in a wheelchair. She ended up suing the club because the shower showroom didn't have wheelchair access...true story.
Maybe its just me, but a FREE pap smear sounds a little suspect. For example, as a man, I would want to pay for a prostate exam. That's something I DO NOT want someone doing for free.
Anyway, people do their jobs better when they know they depend on you for their paycheck.
