I was going to save my next post for my ten year SG anniversary on August 30th, but I have too many photos and things to share right now and I don't want to overload you in a month.

So yeah, naked on the internet for ten years, can you believe it? Personally, I think I look a lot better now than when I was 19.

From my very first set, when I was so skinny and awkward and didn't know how to do my make up.

From my most recent set, ten years older, 15lbs heavier and better make up.

I'm probably going to be too old for this place soon. I'm ten years older than most of the SGs these days, I feel a little creepy. I was never super active here and I rarely sought out shooting opportunities. I have only been shooting more recently because photographers have been visiting Portland and asking me to shoot. I guess as long as people want to shoot me, I'll still do it. I am actually surprised that I am somewhat in demand as a model seeing how poorly my sets do here.

Well, I have two sets in the works by Dwam and P_mod and I'm shooting with Sunshine in a couple of weeks, so you at least get to see three more sets of me before I retire smile

I don't have any set preview for you yet, but I do have some portraits by P_mod that are very nice. He is an amazing photographer!

In other news, I adopted a displaced huntsman spider. Her name is Osita and she was found in some bananas from Mexico. I took her to live at my lab where we have a steady supply of crickets for her to eat.

I went to an event at a local shop called Paxton Gate. They sell things like taxidermy, pinned insects, bones, fossils, carnivorous plants and other science/biology/natural history paraphernalia. They invited an entomologist to come and show his huge personal collection of pinned insects (and other invertebrates). It was amazing and he was really cool! I feel bad because I kind of hogged his attention for a lot of the time, but he seemed to want to talk to me, too. I am normally a very introverted, anxious person in social situations, but when I get around other biologists and people who are passionate about insects, I actually become engaging and interesting. It's a very rare thing for me. Anyway, I asked if he would do his presentation at my wedding reception and he was totally into it! Not sure how my guests will feel about it, but I'm excited!
