Wednesday afternoon was an example of exactly why I love Summer.
A quiet afternoon beer in the sun with an old friend - planning our column we're going to write which incidentally may quite possibly prove to be amazing ha or maybe I was just a little drunk at the time
Before this I visited a friend at his studio for catch ups, gossip, and to look at pin up books and the painting he was working on.
After beer in the sun I rushed home to change into my new dress by pinupgirlclothing.com, then i picked up a nice bottle of red and headed over to my boy's house where we had a few before leaving to go to the theatre to see an amazing performance of Dracula! This was awesome fun. when we emerged after this at around 8.30 it was still day light!
After Dracula we went and had dinner and drinks at a garden bar then went out elsewhere for more drinks. The hangover the next day at work was kind of horrible but worth it
Now it's going to be a nice weekend of gigs, bbq's, drinks and fun. oh and homework
i have to do a scary presentation next week to a room full of medical students and doctors eek!
oh and it's my birthday pretty soon so i'm organising my 21st which is lots of fun, I've got 2 bands lined up to play Dekline - industrial/rock and Gomorrah metal/grindcore and a fun theme i can't wait.
so much great stuff coming up! xmas, my birthday, new tattoo, new years, auckland, big day out, camping, can't wait

Saw Grudge 2 last night. It fucking freaked me out.It was terrifying! If you like that sort of thing i highly reccommend it, but if you don't, stay very, very far away! Has anyone else seen it?

So much exciting stuff has been happening lately. I've been writing for a magazine or two and the other day the issue with a couple of my articles in it came out. Quite a few people have read it, and I haven't got the bash yet which is good haha writing about emo will get you in trouble apparently. Although it's probably more likely that no one knows I'm even responsible for it considering my name is like nowhere anywhere in the magazine whatsoever but hey...
A couple days ago I interviewed glam/grunge rockers Percy Feral for a magazine an art student i know and his friends are trying to set up up north. That was pretty fun, sent the article off last night, should get a good2 page spread in the mag which is pretty cool.
Right now I'm writing an article on tattoos, more specifically in terms of questions/issues like..how young is too young? popularity/trends at the moment, do's and don'ts/tips for thinking about getting your first tattoo etc because the publication i'm writing this one for is aimed at a youth market. It's still pretty fun though. but it's due tomorrow eek!!
haha i'm also picking out my next tattoo. i've decided it's going to be a pink and blck polka dot bow. But i keep getting sidetracked and looking at sleeves. I've decided fuck it I'm getting one haha, and i've picked out a couple of designs for that to go from as well.
I should really be at university, but i'm not. oh well it's the last week of semester, and then i'm doing summer school. I study media but i think i'm doing a psychology paper over summer for extra points which should be interesting. maybe i will be able to figure myself out hahaha
there's lots of good bands coming to New Zealand at the moment, unfortunately most of them aren't coming to my city though, the bastards! I really want to see Killswitch engage play but they're not coming to my city - and they're playing with Unearth who i have recently started liking. cannibal corpse came last weekend but it was fucking sold out so i was gutted, Deicide are supposed to be coming - but not to my city, and a few others, I think I would like to see AFI even, but they're not coming here haha fuck listen to me whine. Some of the Acts for big day out 2007 have been annnounced, that's like one of the biggest music events we have here i guess, i always go it's lots of fun - i'm liking some of the announcements - The Killers and Muse - though i saw muse when they played last time, and of course PEACHES (saw her play last time she came as well) i fucken love Peaches. It's weird my two favourite 'genres' i guess are electropop and metal, a weird combination huh? At the momemnt my three fave songs are 'sexyback' by justin timberlake - seriously im obsessed with this song i even got it as a ringtone on my phone hahahaha, 'Neverwin' by Fischerspooner and 'confined' by As I Lay Dying.
My mother called me from Chicago the other night. I'm so jealous. I haven't been anywhere since Melbourne to see SG burlesque like 6 months ago. I'm really feeling this fucking urge to travel. It's in my blood. I'm really tempted to take all the money i've been saving for a house deposit and just blow it on a trip somewhere exciting. haha.
ummm what else.. I've been seeing this amazing guy. It'll be like 6 months this weekend I think. He is cute
oh and i cut my hair. 'll probably cut it again in a week or two cuz it grows so fucken fast. maybe i'll find a pic of it for you.

But on a last note, I'm excited to be seeing these bands, Cold By Winter and cobra khan play at my local this weekend!

Writing an article for a magazine at the moment that I think will make some people mad haha it's going to be quite funny.
University is too much for me at the moment, too damn much. I have assignments practically coming out of my ears and no time and little inclination to do some of them. I haven't eaten or slept properly for nearly a month.I keep getting these strange and disturbing dreams that make me too scared to close my eyes sometimes for fear I might drift off to sleep.
Ha I shouldn't really complain though. My life is starting to become quite awesome at the moment. The Future is exciting. There is so much to do. Plus there's a free lunch at my work tomorrow
Also though I am ashamed to admit it, I think I am developing a crush on Chamillionaire.
I really cannot get that ridin dirty song out of my head haha i'm watching it on youtube right now
Youtube is great.
I wish my set would go up
