-Commercials where things are "clinically proven to work"
-Babies named Madison
-Babies named Aiden
There's also this commercial that goes sort of like this:
(Break room at an office)
Woman One: Oh, what's that you're eating?
Woman Two (eating some microwave thing): It's parmesan-encrusted FISH!
It drives me and Thom crazy that she doesn't specify what sort of fish it is. It's just "FISH".
Also:
There's a Silk soy milk commercial:
Generic Consumer (holding a box of soy milk):
"My boyfriend and I tried Silk. It was good... it was cold in the cereal."
That's it? It was "good" and "cold"?
For fuck's sake, lady.
Also: I am watching a remake of Psycho that I didn't know existed. It has fucking William H. Macy in it. I love him.
On NOVEMBER 22, 2007 @ 10:04 PM I posted a blog about getting glasses. I had been missing my glasses, which I seriously need to, like, live, for a very long time. They had mysteriously vanished and I'd resolved that they were gone forever. I decided to get new ones. In the meantime, I was very squinty.
I put it off and put it off. This weekend, while cleaning out my closet, I pulled out a dusty old messenger bag, and heard some rattling in the pocket. There they were, intact and waiting. I can see again!
Ancient blog!

Hahaha, awesome.
Okay, I go to the optometrist tomorrow to get new glasses! I need your help to pick out what sort I should get. To help you along, I've invented these highly detailed specs of my specs! Try not to faint at the realism.
Round glasses: Because I'm old-timey like that. I may actually buy some antique or replica ones and have my prescription put in. Behold!

Rectangle glasses: I resisted these forever because everyone and their mother has them. But if they make me look extra cute, maybe I should give in, hm?

EDIT: Look at these amazing steampunk glasses on eBay. Oh God. They're all I've ever wanted.
Edit: Auuuuurgh, The Inner Light is on next! This is the only one I can't watch. Too sad. Changing the channel. Oh god.
Edit: Ooo! Planet of the Apes!
I am also watching Star Trek TNG on SciFi.

I'm listening to This American Life on podcast. Sarah Vowell is talking and hilarious.
I'm selling more things. Here's a repost from the SG Sales and Swap Meet groups:
I'm purging my absurdly bloated clothing hoard since it's the middle of the month, when I start to panic about money, and since, well, how many square-dancing dresses do I really need?
Anything that doesn't sell is going right to my yard sale on the 30th.
Add $3 shipping inside the US, $5 shipping outside. I accept PayPal, Money Orders, personal checks, and well-concealed cash. Personal checks must clear before your item will be shipped. Post here or PM me to make a purchase.
Here, so far, are tank tops, tee-shirts, and dresses. LOTS more to follow.
Go nuts!

I set the little bundle down on the ground and carefully lifted up the bandana. The mouse just sat there. One of his eyes was squinted shut and a little crusty. He moved off a few feet, using a weird hopping gait that made me wonder if he was some sort of, like, kangaroo mouse. Then I concluded he was probably hurt, and resolved not to bother him, the way I usually can't help but do with cute little animals I've liberated. Instead I crouched there and watched him until I got bored. He didn't move off. I watched his little sides heaved in and out rapidly and worried he might have a heart attack and die. I went back in, apologized to Mem, and locked the door.
So I still have some odd records for sale. I forgot to mention last time that the condition on all is VG+ or better; most appear unplayed.
