You ever hear music that really gives you cold chills? Makes you feel something in your chest you can't quite explain, gives you faith in the ability of man to create something truly beautiful? There have been a handful of artists who do this for me, and Dixon's Violin is one of them. I have been lucky enough to see him play live twice and await the next performance.

Experimental and improvisational electric violin? Yes please.

How inspiring!

I have been keeping myself busy making cold process soap. It is so much fun! I am making too much soap though so am making plans to start a little soap business. I'm going to rent a booth at a local market here that starts in May. I'm thrilled to finally put myself out there. I often think/dream about ways I can be self employed and then talk myself out of doing them. Not this time! I don't plan to make a lot of money, but it will be so enjoyable to share my creations with others and at least pay for the hobby.

I like to support local farmers and businesses. I use grass fed local milk and local organic oats in my milk/oat soaps. I use coffee from a local roaster who buys fair trade beans in my coffee soap.

Do you use natural soap? I've bought it for years but only recently started making it myself. The soap I make is by far the best soap I've used blush

I added some new earrings to my Etsy:

Stay warm!
Happy early Valentines Day kiss

My hair is getting so long.

Very cool, Opaque, I haven't used mass-produced soap in years. I bet yours smell fantastic.

I don't know if you have heard of him before, but if you like violin with an edge, check out Ashley MacIsaac...he is amazing (kind of like the Hendrix of violin playing...hopefully that isn't too blasphemous to say) smile

That music was very nice. I just recently started getting into more orchestral artists like David Garrett and Escala. Even Lindsey Sterling has made it into my rotation. So glad everything has been going good for you, and you are still looking beautiful as ever.

when music is really deep and personal, i get goosebumps. it's actually the same feeling i get, when a spirit wants to get my attention.

you have a knack for making cool stuff and taking great pictures of what you've made. it's very compelling to see all the different artistic outlets you have. smile

I loved everything about this blog. I hope you are enjoying life. You're beautiful and I wish we lived closer so we could get together over a cup of home grown herbal tea and watch ours boys play and swap crafting skills and mom stories <3

Love this concept of playing a song that doesn't yet exist,
takes me back to nights spent in a smokey haze.

See if you like Alice Coltrain's Music from the LP Universal Consciousness

You soap looks good enough to eat.

Have you made any bird houses lately?

That's neat stuff. You should out Pedestrian Deposit. They do noise type stuff that includes cello and other creative string type instruments. And yes, cleaning is fun.

Music....all the time. It's what keeps me here. Improvised is usually the best as it has more of a journey to it.
Dixon obviously knows what I mean.
Your crafts are always awesome and am glad to see you running with it. You'll definitely get repeat customers

There are a lot of artists out there that do that to me!

My dream is to be self-employed, i'm going to do it, I just have to get the money, I don't need a lot, when I get my debts payed off it will be a lot easier, I hope you end up making enough money with your soap to live on.

Your soap looks good enough to eat smile

your hair looks great.
