just so everyone knows.. i'm still alive! i apologize for the lack of updates, i've been busy... growing.
in october, i visited this couple who lives near my hometown in ohio. they have built their own earthship, which is a form of "natural" building that uses earth-packed used tires as the foundation. they are stacked on one another, then covered in a cob plaster (sand, clay straw). they have a little farm with goats, alpacas, and chickens and some vegetable gardens.

really nice people, they give tours of their little homestead to the public.
recently went to our local conservatory to see some work by Chihuly featured among the plant life. my camera died after taking 2 photos, before we even got into the conservatory..
but here are those 2 simple photos anyway:
you should check out Chihuly's work, he does some mind blowing things with glass.
i hope everyone is doing well, i must get back to calculus and chemistry related things.
