In other news... I'm back in the saddle after my surgery and me and winston are training hard for Grand Prix level show jumping...

I'm so in love with this creature. The lessons he's taught me about trust, love, never giving up and having "heart" really are invaluable. Never in a million years did I believe I could learn so much from a Horse.... It's a great feeling seeing how far he's come and knowing that even though the odds are against us in the show world we still have a chance..... (lets face it... as far as most equestrians are concerned the world of serious horse shows are no place for tattooed ladies and horses that came with a less than 4 figure price tag... it sux but that's just the way things are) Sometimes I think that I even make my trainer (to whom I pay a great deal of money) cringe because I'm not a perfect preppy trust fund baby like all his other girls
Fuck em though right?? Go Team Individuality! We're gonna rock shit and kick everyone's ass at show jumping one day
Anyways! ... enough rambling... I'm off to the barn! I'll leave you with this awesome painting Pickle Art recently made for me! ... (isn't this rad?) If you're into eyecandy check out the rest of their art here! Pickle Art

Lots of love! More soon!
xoxoxo
But nevermind! shit happens! I'm back!
Despite the unfortunate events life is pretty good... I got a puppy! (I'll post pics soon) And my Equestrian adventures were going GREAT before I had to take some time off... That being said yesterday was my first day back in the saddle though and we picked up right where we left off
I'll write a better blog soon! I'm gonna have a lurk around and check out all the hottness I've missed out on while I've been pouting on the sofa....
Seen any awesome sets lately? Comment with links to them to catch me up on what I've been missing out on!
more soon my pretties!
xoxoxo

That's right perverts. I'm on a new mission, a mission to point you in the direction of obscure musical gems so dirty that if you play it loud enough the basslines will make you cream your jeans while the melodies leave you with uncontrollable urges to make-out with your speakers. Who doesn't love a good eargasm?
Every other week I'm going to bring you recommended listening and mini interviews! Watch this space, discover new ear-porn for your ipod, (it's that simple.)
To kick this feature off I give you "Hyper" - A UK electro-rocker who kindly gave me a promo of his new album "The Panic" which I can honestly say has been on repeat in my car for the past 2 weeks. (I'm almost embarrassed to admit that as I do know him personally and hate to sound like a creepy groupie stalker) Bias and dignity aside "The Panic" really is 'that good' and it would not surprise me one bit if in the future it's hailed as a classic slice of electronica alongside the albums of the other great crossover artists such as The Prodigy, Pendulum, The Crystal Method Etc etc…

Audio Teasers / Album Preview :
Hyper: The End Music Video
O: How would you best describe your sound to those on SG who may be unfamiliar with you as an artist.
H: It's a kind of cross pollination of Electronic Dance Music and Punk energy. Rock n Rave?
O: Which one of your tracks best sums up you as an artist and everything you're about musically?
H: We Control was probably the track that defined what Hyper is about on the whole; a mix mash of musical styles thrown into the pot and spat out in your face.
O: Tell us a bit about your new album. How does it differ from the past ones?
H: The new album 'The Panic' is an extension and elaboration of whats gone before with a heavier focus on production. It's about contradictions and contrast which is quite obvious in tracks like 'The End', 'Machine' and 'My World' (which starts off as an old skool rave/Hardcore track and flows through to soaring strings at the end.. It's more mature in production and reflects more of my influences from the past and present from NIN to whatever..
O: Your tracks are frequently used in film / TV, does this play into the creative process when you're working on new material?
H: I think it must do in some ways as you end up, listening to film scores etc more than you ever used to, noticing how music adds to moods etc. I think it appeals to the more melodic side of my music. I'm not really interested in this too cool for school attitude which you get a lot in dance music which doesn't really do melody... I also really like to make music with impact and I think that lends itself well to some film and TV stuff.
O: How much does your DJ sound vary from your Live stuff? What can our readers expect if they turn up to one of your gigs.
Well, it has a similar feel to it in that I like to throw in different styles of music into my club sets whether it be Electro, Techno, or Breakbeat mashed with Dub Step etc but I guess the whole point for me in doing an album is to put together a body of music for listening to as well as banging out in the clubs. So, we try and keep the Live/album stuff as more song based arrangements and use a lot of vocals, guitars etc..
O: Who is your favorite suicide girl?
H: Odissi!
HAHA! (Flattery will get you everywhere!)

Odissi
I'm in love with this song at the moment.
and I feel like I'm living in the saddle lately... not that it's a bad thing...

The weather in florida is finally warming up. The past few days it's been warm enough to wear summer clothes...I've taken advantage by spending my mornings on the dock drinking coffee while watching the sun rise through the cypress trees. It's funny... when I was younger I used to hate this place, but now for some reason I can't imagine myself anywhere else.

I guess the only downside to Florida is that I miss my boyfriend who is still on the other side of the Atlantic.

Spending Valentines day alone was really hard. Is it bad that every night I catch myself wishing that the mother of his child would get hit by a bus so he could get custody and move here sooner?
Yes... I know... life is not fair and nor is it a fairy tale.
I dunno what is up with me lately.
That being said… At least I have my horses to keep me distracted and busy.

Sometimes I wonder if these animals know just how much they've done to heal me and turn my life around.
Feb 18th myself and Eaksie have a set going into MR
(teasers if you missed them in my last blog)

god knows it's been ages since I've had a new set... so I'm really excited about this.
xo
Teaser photos below ... hopefully the full set will make an appearance sometime soon.

In other news... there's not a whole lot to report from my corner of the world (shocking huh?) My usually manic life has become a lot more tame since I moved to Florida, which really is a good thing I guess. There's only so long one can live the 24/7 rock n roll party lifestyle before something has to give... be it your sanity or the lifestyle itself. I got to go back to London for the holidays at least (which satisfied the wanderlust craving that was starting to make me itch in the months since I decided to slow things down.) Strangely though... going back made me realize that I didn't actually miss the place and that the only thing I actually miss is my Boyfriend.
(And so begins my mission to steal him away from the cold and grim city of London and relocate him to the sunshine state, Florida!). *insert evil laughter here*
The holidays were cool though! Lots of chilling, lots of eating. I got to go to Hampton Court which is something I always wanted to see while I was living there... but never quite got around to seeing...

Gorgeous huh? I certainly wouldn't mind having a house like that...
Seriously though... it's good to be home!
It felt strange leaving my new Horse for so long... (This must be what being a parent feels like)
I got serious *warm fuzzies* when I went to see him after being away for two weeks. The minute he saw me he RAN full speed across the field to greet me with a very loud whinny.... awwwe...
I took him out to play in the arena and got some snaps of him showing off. Since my equine updates have been so popular I figured I'd share them.

I've slowly been turning his antics into a comic series

Horse lovers watch this space for more!
Anyways darlings! That's all from me! Here's hoping each and everyone of you are having a fabulous new year and are living your lives balls to the wall!
more soon!
xoxo
There's just something about whips, leather, tall black boots and skin tight riding jodhpurs that's painfully sexy... wouldn't you agree?

(And besides... it's a FACT that girls with riding crops are 82% more likely to get what they want...)

I just need to find a good photographer who would be willing to shoot a SG set for me... something that's been especially difficult ever since my best friend moved away
Speaking of awesome photographers though... I did have the pleasure of working with LA based photographer to the stars, Harry Middleton a couple of weeks ago...
He took some GORGEOUS photos of me working with Idol... (The abused arabian i've been rehabilitating)
I can't help but think he captured a little more than just great photos.. I swear in every single image I can see the "friendship" I've built up with this animal over the past 6 months... I'll cherish these pictures for ever.

On another note my own horse, Winston is doing good.
He's still super cute...

And his training is coming along well... (here he is looking ultra handsome (and cheeky) in his new bridle)

And he still likes to do things like this... which I REALLY need to stop letting him do...

Today he tried to eat my pigtail... (Which f*cking hurt) ... I really thought he was going to rip out a chunk of hair) Although I suppose it was my fault for not thinking before washing my hair with peppermint scented shampoo.... (peppermints happen to be his favorite treat... DOH!)
Well... his second favorite treat I should say... next to coke... (reposting for those who missed it because it's super super cute!)
In other (non-horsey related news)
For the musicians and studio nerds... (spoiled because only musicians and studio nerds would appreciate this)
AND
I'm going to London for Christmas and New Year! (YAY!) It feels like it's been AGES since I moved to Florida from England... (although really it's only been about 8 months I guess).
I'm so looking forward to seeing some old friends, watching trashy british soaps, proper cups of tea, pigging out on mince pies (and hopefully seeing some snow!) ![]()
Anyways kiddies...
Thats all the update I have for the moment. I'll try to get a new set up soon...
In the meantime may you all have a debaucherous holiday season!
Raise Hell and make sexy happen!
