I am loving my job. I am loving having a job.
It's just such a shame working in a kitchen yields such low pay.
In my first month of being there I now have two recipes I developed being used.
I have two more ready to test as soon as I have the free time at work.

On the flip side, I have been sick twice in the last two weeks. I believe working full time and being a mother full time might have something to do with that...

So a lot has been going on.

I have a job again! I never ever ever thought I would want to work in a kitchen again but an opportunity came along that I would have been stupid not to go for. I got it! For the first time in a while, I have a kitchen job I am really excited about. I am working in pastry in a raw food restaurant. While in culinary school I interned in a raw food restaurant that was actually owned by the same guy that owns my current place of employ. After culinary school I worked in another restaurant he owned. I really look forward to going to work and am really itching to come up with some new desserts.

I met the fantastic thelabrat recently. He shot my first set in over three years ( ) and did a smashing job.

I have been watching a lot of Parks and Recreation and fall in love with Ron Swanson more and more every minute.








My son and I recently discovered The Aquabats Super Show. It is pretty awesome. One of the few kid's shows that adults can appreciate too.



I joined this instagram website that all the kids are talking about. So far it looks like it's mostly pics of me making weird faces. I guess I do that a lot. >_>

Well I'm happy to be back in LA. I never thought I would say that.

This guy is keeping me pretty busy.




Hes talking up a storm and is starting some echolalia so the time has come to quit cursing like a sailor.
Looking for work. oy. It's nerve wracking. Makes me want to go back to school.
Reentering the dating world. Also kind of nerve wracking. I feel like I have completely forgotten how it all works. It's been great to not think about how I look, or what another person might think of me.

Makes me feel like this A LOT.


Nevermind the fact that I feel horribly guilty about leaving my son with a sitter so I can go out and have fun. Without him.
I guess I've been monking it up long enough.

March 7th is an interesting day for me.

I have a ridiculously long list of things I want to sell in my etsy shop.
What am I waiting for?! Christmas?!




also, I am ridiculously bored with my hair. I know, I know. It's just hair. My mom always used to tell me that if I was starting to think a lot about my hair then I was probably just bored in general and didn't have enough to do. Her reasoning being that I should keep myself busy enough that something as trite as my hair style, shouldn't be on my mind. There's a bit of truth to that to me.
What about you? Do you agree? Is there something like that for you? A barometer of boredom and busy?


The holidays are upon us.
moving around so much usually has me somewhere different for the holidays. It has made for some very memorable occasions.
What is your favorite holiday memory?

this is the most moving thing I have seen in a long time.
Really hit home for me.
