oh my goodness so i get up way too early this morning (nightmare) and what to i see? Daturas set is up AND todays interview

its like christmas!!!!! booooyah. i dropped my dance classes yesterday. this makes me a little apprehensive. i was starting to feel that even though i love dance, maybe i was doing the dance major becuase i felt obligated to. since ive been dancing for my whole life, i have to major in dance. and thats silly because the only reason a dance degree is useful is if i want to teach in a school or university. no thanks. other than that, its all about your audition. making dance part of my school regime turned it into another class. yuck. until dance is fun again, im just gonna use the school gym to stay in shape. i still have my psych major, that im quite on track with. besides, if i have two majors, that'll add another year on to my schooling. ive been in school long enough. i love dance but i wanna get on with the next chapter of my life already

and no, i do not want to make a dating profile or update my goddamn page!!!! please somebody make the icky yellow and pink stuff go away

I actually want to major in dance next year. I just have a lot to think about with it because like you said, you can't do much with it. I think I want it more because it will be a fun way to get my BA, though I know it still is work. But I am sure I will change my major a million times when I go to school.
Don't take me as being ignorant, I am not just picking dance out of my back end. I am a belly dancer in Orlando, and would really like to learn to teach and choreograph.
Are you attending a University for dance right now?

I absolutely agree.(with the yellow and pink stuff)

and the degree decisions for that matter. I've found that school seems to take the joy out of alot of artistic endeavors. i'm pretty sure I spelled that incorrectly.

I know, ick. I wasn't on the site for a week (cuz I was in San Diego with my boy) and when I got back I saw the dating profile stuff and was astounded. I can't believe the site is going that direction. No thank you!

Good call on dropping the performance-based major. I have trouble understanding the motivations of people who work towards artistic degrees; invariably, when asked if they want to teach, they say, "Of course not!" A psych degree should prove to be much more useful, one less year of schooling is nothing to sneeze at, and you can now pursue dance in a way that makes it fun for you. Win-win.

Don't worry about the annoying appearance of the dating profile stuff. Olivia has said it's only going to stay that way until enough time has passed that everyone is aware of its existence. But you should fill out your dating profile anyway so I have an excuse to send you creepy emails begging for sex.

I'm a HS senior and im getting sick with my education going on too long. then i got 6 years of RX school ahead of me.

but you did make a smart move - cut out the fluff. save your money for something good and get out of school sooner.

i dont mind the yellow band, but its a bit annoying at first.

would be cool if you could have it pop up on a regular schedule to remind you....
