I finally have some time/I'm in the mood to update a bit. So, HAPPY NEW YEAR! How are your first days of 2011 going?
Mine aren't exactly what I was expecting! First the humanitarian trip to Niger that P_Mod and my boyfriend were supposed to do has been postponed due to the recent events in Niamey. They really wanted to go but all the french autorities asked them not to. And desobeing would mean no more help from them for all the upcoming projects so, let's wait... Decision was taken the week of the departure, everything was ready, pretty frustrating.
Sad news never come alone and a couple of other made last week a though one. Many thoughts to those who lost people they loved.

Then I got the flu. Still have it but can walk and eat without everything tasting like mouldy broccolis.

Now I'm taking the time to breath and to find a way out.

On the 6th of January my new set Marilou went up in Member Review.

I'm so glad I finally did a set with Dwam. She's very dear to my heart and I hope she knows it ♥
This set is inspired by the song "Variations sur Marilou" by Serge Gainsbourg. I herited my love for Gainsbourg from my father and it was really important for me to make a set about him. This song comes from my favorite album from him, L'Homme A Tete de Chou.

This set was shot one day after Break Free! Talk about different moods...
Thank you so much for all the comments, a pleasure to read them everytime ! And yes, I'm hoping to see this set on the frontpage, a bit more than a year after Repandre la Lumiere, please ?

Hello!

Are you ready for the holidays? I'm a bit late as usual. I'm making some handmade gifts for my friends and family (= my mother), that's one of my favorite things to do.

And for the first time ever I will be making a real Christmas meal! A vegan one. No dead animals needed to celebrate loving and sharing, thanks. I'm excited to play the perfect housewife and today I'm spending hours online looking for nice recipes.

In other news, remember the topic of one of my previous entries? Well, the departure is next week now but there still so many thing to think about that I barely realize how soon it is! We received some last minute help from a couple of sponsors and so many friends sent us money, I'm grateful and confident, they'll do great !

Updating tomorrow

At the end of the month five of my friends are going on a road trip from France to Niger. This trip has two goals : one is humanitarian as they'll be travelling in a 4wd that will be offered to a Nigerian hospital, the second is artistic as they'll take pictures and films and will be doing artistic events all the way to the final stop.

A one month trip, five people and surely many surprises and unforgettable events. Among these five people there will be my boyfriend and someone you certainly know around here : P_Mod ! I'm helping them as much as I can with all the details that need to be think about before such an adventure, I promote and try to raise funds for the audio-visual material and their plane ticket back to France. Even if I'm not leaving with them I'm so excited about this trip! We've been working on it for almost six months now and it's happening so soon !

I'm glad some of you found it funny and hm... not too hairy

Looking at my two last sets (three if you count Boxe Francaise) I realize they're probably not what the site is looking for anymore except on week-ends. Creative/weird sets is always what I've liked doing for SG, that what I came here for in the first place... and even if the site changes,what I like doing won't. So we'll see how this is going.

I'm happy darker/edgier/less loved sets go up on week-ends though! I hope these will get a bit of recognition soon :

Thank you for your comments on my last entry! Writing all of this down already made me want to move my lazy ass a bit more... I'm working non-stop since I went home from my visit to Dwam and P_Mod last saturday ! Working on my projects, my well-being, my goals... good good.

Anyway. These two I've mentionned, they've been like angels with me! I'm always amazed by their kindness, every time I see them. I think I'll never get used to so much sweetness

I told you important things always happen to me in July, every year. This year was no exception even if on the outside nothing as really changed.

2010 has been... such a void. I'm feeling like I've been looking at my life through a Twitter account (I could probably find a better metaphor yes...). It's fast, it's cold, it never goes deeper than the first step or the first meaning and it's mostly virtual.
The wall at my place are still naked. Yet I have tons of drawings, posters and pictures here and tons of frames there... but none of them are the same size. Should I buy pictures that fit my frames or frames that fit my pictures? I'm wondering since february. This is how much I'm acting in my own life.

My cat is cute, I'm spending too much money, I've stopped listening to music when I'm travelling. Birds are gone, flowers are dying, blah blah blah...
Ok ok, I'm not very postivie, 2010 sucks but what happened in July? I can't say it out loud. I've put words on some weird shaped thoughts. Thoughts as thin and sticky as spider threads. It's really not that much appart from being devastating.

I have a bit more than four months to turn this year into a good one for me. I'll probably say this next year as well and my heart will probably be colder, too.
