So let's see here. My roomie's new leather couch arrived today. Which is good as it means my couch can come live downstairs with me. But I discussed with her before she bought this couch that leather is bad with dogs as little claws leave little scratches. She said it looked distressed allready and wasn't a problem. Now she's forgotten the whole discussion and doesn't want dogs on the new couch. Which ain't gonna happen, because I'm not shutting them downstairs. So the nice new couch is now wearing an ugly old blanket, and I imagine it allways will. Seems pointless to me. She drives me nuts sometimes. The concept of comfort and livability is lost on her. I would allways rather have a couch I can snuggle dogs on than a nice couch.

And her mother is still here.

Sad to say I didn't see any of you at Conan's last night for the Festival of Pirates. It was lots of fun! The bands were great and everyone pirate-danced so hard I thought the floor was gonna cave in. Then I got up this morning and went to the soapbox derby out at Mount Tabor, where there was at least one pretty nasty crash but I missed it. ARRR!!!

The roomie's mother invasion continues. I've mostly been hiding in the basement. It's pretty messy and seems motherproof.

I got my appointment for my consultation for my new tat! Hoorah! It's after I get back from SF, though, and it's just for the consultation. I have no idea how long it will be before I actually see ink. Oh well, that's more time to save $$$.

Oy, late night. The show at Devils Point went pretty well. Great crowd, great energy. A few technical difficulties and a rather nasty cut on the bottom of my foot. (bare fairy feet do not mix with tossing beers to audience members holding glasses). Saw a bunch of members, hung out with obelisk and some friends late into the night. Many martinis were had. Also many fruity drinks.

BTW, The Dirty Lowdowns website put up several more cheerleader pics for the cheerleader fans.

What the Hell am I doing awake? I had at least another hour to sleep. Oh, well. The Niel Gaiman interview here has got me finally reading American Gods, and it's not like I had a ton of spare time before that. So at least I can check my email and cram a chapter or two before I head to yet another practice.
Still awaiting the impending arrival of roomie's mother. God, I haven't even had time to clean my part of the house at all. Oh well, let her think I live like a savage.

Edit:
Apparrently it's poetry day. Apparrently I didn't get the memo.

Me and Queen Mab
we've been busting our asses
up all night dancing
with cute fairy lasses

We made sparkly wings
we made a piniata
shaped like a penis
the size on Madonna

so if y'all don't show up
I come after yo' Momma

I've barely been online for days- what a bizarre concept. I've been having to build sets for this hullaballoo Wednesday. ("Hey, I think a tree would really set the mood here" "Great! Build us a tree!") I think it's an initiation right, since somehow or another I seem to have become a Cherry Tart. Plus I've been trying to get outside and enjoy what's left of the summer. It's just perfect at night right now to go watch the stars or, well, you know. Not to mention that somewhere in there I have to show up for work from time to time. I'm really starting to look forward my break in San Fransisco.

Oh, and then there's this. The girl who's car got T.P.'d because she didn't show for the bachelorette party got up for work and left her house at 6:50 am. The TP job was about 4:00. by the time she got up, someone had completely cleaned her car. frown Damn good samaritans. If we didn't have it on video tape, she'd have thought we were lying. So now it's a bit of a mystery.

Edit: go bug new member tankboi for me.

Oy, long night. And here I am awake bright and early with enough time left to check in here before I hit rehearsal for next weeks Devil's Point show. (Theme: a Midsummer Night's Wet Dream)

Last night I went to my first bachelorette party ever (obviously, not mine). Quite the experience. We went to Silverados, where we saw a guy with amazing muscle control pull his nuts up and down to the beat. We went some other places too, but that was the barhopping highlight. Then there was early breakfast. Then we meant to go home, but ended up at Plaid Pantry buying armloads of toilet paper and doing a little vandalism here and there. i haven't TP'd anything since I was like fifteen. It's really fun!

OK, time's up. I have to go learn an umbrella dance now.

I've got Belle and Sebastian's 'Me and the Major' stuck in my head. I can't get it out. Aaaargh!!!! I guess it could be worse, as far as things that get stuck in my head go. But it's been there for two days.

I stole some of the pics from the PDX Pool Party to put in my candids for those of you who aren't from here...I refuse to explain the giant underwear, go ask BigDirtyS about it.

The spiders have moved into the computer room now. One came out of my keyboard earlier- is that creepy, or what?

Hmmm, let's see here. You'de think SOMETHING of interest would've happened to me in the last 24 hours....nope...not that I can think of.

Oh, wait, I got it!...no...nevermind...that wasn't interesting either...
