Wow! I finally made it to an SG gathering! Go me! Met lots of folks, plus got to see several of the girls I haven't seen since the last sleepover. Such fun! (In spite of Ami's broken promise of vegan goodies...) And it looks like SGSF is planning to take over Lanesplitters for me while I'm there. I feel so loved.

So apparrently I will be able to make it to the last part of the BBQ on Suinday, although I don't get off work until 4. But I'll make an appearance, at least. Hell, if it stays this hot I might even get in the water. Unless there are children in it. I am deathly afraid of children.

Went out to Devil's point last night and got wasted. Met Lux, who is going to start doing shows there on Tuesdays with Siren. Everyone should go. I love that place. It's cozy. And besides, it has old-style Tetris.

Desk project is, more or less, complete. Photos are posted. It needs a few lines cleaned up tommorrow, but not much. I'm so tired of painting, I can't even start to think about the rest of the room just now. So I think I'll go to the rope bondage show at Devil's point and have a drink.

The desk project is coming along well. I have to work tommorrow, but I expect to put up pictures of it Tuesday or Wednesday. Obviously, I'm really happy with how it's turning out. Then, for the rest of the room.

Sitting on floor to type as desk in in backyard. Entire room disintegrated into terrible mess. I did take some 'before' pics so I can prove to you all that I deserve my own show on Discovery. Or at least prove how insane I am for attempting this.

Hot lazy day off. I'm trying to be useful. I'm trying to refinish my desk (first part of major computer room overhaul). I got all the drawers stripped, but now I have to haul the desk up the stairs, and it's fucking hot out there...
I have an idea that this project is ridiculously big. Turning finished boring basement into magical Morroccan cave. I'm sure you'll hear more of my frustrations as the project continues.
I requested a quote on a new VW. Like somehow I think they'll finance me. HA! Or give me crap for trade-in on my current hotbox. *sigh*

OK, folks, not too much to report this early in the morning except that it's fucking hot out and I finally got my Rockfest pics up. Thanks and love to the Dirty Lowdowns for the pics (and the great time). These guys are playing a free show Friday at the Twilight Cafe, and everyone should go (even though there will be no cheerleaders).

PS if you are wondering about the hotties with me at Rockfest, two of them are India and Pandora from the Cherry Tarts, performing tonight at 8:30 at the Devil's Point.

Car trouble. I hate my car. Several boys are now taking it apart in the yard and cussing. Yesterday I went to take the dogs to the park and it screamed and screamed like a pig and shut off. Have poked at the alternator, oiled the belts, wiggled the ignition module but not removed it due to scary japanese wrtiting, and now they're fussing with the water cooler. Eventually they will give up and tow it to a mechaninc. Sigh. Perhaps the mechanic will tell me it's unfixable and I can go get a better car. Now, if only the new Beetles weren't unreliable or the Audi's weren't unaffordable or every other car wasn't so damn ugly.....

Very difficult waiting for sushi. My mouth has been watering since I ordered. Damned rainbow roll.

Sangria worked out well- this is my first time making it. The grapes soaked in rum since this morning, so they're pretty potent.
