Hoorah! Today I had my consultation with Jennifer at Atlas for my sleeve. We went through lots of books and discussed the whole thing, and I really think she has a good understanding of what it is I'm aiming for. She did nix my plan to trail it down into pastels towards the wrist as she thinks it will fade faster than the rest and look funny down the road. She traced my arm today, so once she draws it up, and after another meeting or two, she thinks the end of October we should be putting ink to skin. Time to save up some $$$$.
I'm back home in Portland after two weeks. Had a great time in S.F. Met Trillian, Thora, and Dr. Neccessitor. Probably would've met more of you, but there were terrible computer issues involved.
Also, I discovered Guitar Wolf.
More later. Very tired from stoopid ten-hour drive.
LATER
Got one pic up from the trip- # 21 is new.

Hello Bay Area!
I'm having a great time here- been keeping very busy. I went to a friend's house the other night and saw a Japanese film called 'Stacy' which involve Zombie schoolgirls and somehow still managed to be sweet, romantic, and one of the most interesting social commentaries I've ever seen.
Went down the coast yesterday to Pacifica and wandered around. Went the Distillery, but didn't see any ghosts.
upcoming plans- I think I'm skipping the Sloe show as I'm exhausted, but might hit Bondage a Go-Go Wednesday and will definitely hit the Rawhide for Sin on Friday. Who needs sleep, anyhow?

Well, I'm in Berkeley finally! That is one hellish ten hour drive in a hot un-airconditioned car. But I'm here. It's twenty degrees cooler than Portland, but I swear that on the drive it didn't cool off until at least Vallejo (9 1/2 hours into the ten hour drive) . I'm just mostly shocked that my car made it at all. I'm not going to be online as much as usual while I'm here, so just put up with sporadic updates. Also my computer is going into the hospital in the hopes of getting OS 10 installed, so I am at the mercy of others to get online.
I guess the interview went well- I had a little trouble with the accent, but not too bad. I hope I said at least something that the other girls didn't- the questions were pretty basic, so I'm sure there were a lot of repeat responses. The deadline is wednesday, so theoretically it comes out the next week. I'll be checking, so i'm sure you'll all hear when it comes out. Now I haver to pack up my computer as it's taking the trek to SF with me.
So apparrently I'm being interviewed by the New Musical Express tommorrow at 'half-past noon'. Any of you European types wanna give me the low-down on it? I checked out the website, and it looked pretty cool. Tee-hee. I'm such a wannabee rockstar. Then I get to pack and drive ten hours. Yuck. My car is such a wannabee airplane...
Busy, busy...time to start packing for my SF trip. I leave Wednesday. Yay!
Also I am officially a Cherry Tart instead of a tart-in-waiting. They voted me in at the last meeting. So, once I get back from SF I'll be doing the monthly Devil's Point and other shows pretty regularly. My timing is great- the show I'll miss while I'm out of town is a sports theme, and heaven knows I'm not a sports fan. Unless it's foosball.

Oh my god, I've been online for so long that I can no longer blink...I took my contacts out but it isn't helping. It's a terrible addiction preventing me from doing the eight million projects i'm supposed to do. That and the fact that i have absolutely no idea where my new utility knife is. I did look foor it for a while before giving upand being seduced again by the eerie glow of my screensaver. She calls to me, and I am powerless....
----------------------------------------------All of my dreams last night were lucid. i do that often, but not where every dream is that way. It's such a wierd feeling to think 'hmmm. I'm following a lion through a residential neighborhood. Obviously, I'm dreaming.' But it's fun, because I can kind of change things. but not too much. if i really concentrate I just end up waking myself up.

This is turning out to be Wierd Movie Week for me. Mostly because I let my roomie go to the video store alone. Monday we watched 'PS Your Cat is Dead', which is really funny but really twisted and probably not the world's best date movie. Unless you're both guys. Then last night we finally got to see 'Little Otik', which for some reason is always rented from the video store. All those quick-cut shots of babies and close-ups of the fat blonde girl made it way scarier than 'House of 1,000 Corpses'.
It's journal poetry day again, so I'm digging around in stacks of old notebooks to see what i can find. I think I'll use this one because one of the girls has an Orbourous tattoo that was in the 'best tattoos' thread yesterday. I love the concept of the Ourbourous. There was this book called 'The Book of the Dun Cow' that I read at least ten times in my pre-teen and early teen years that revolved around the idea, and I think it's pretty much stuck in my brain now.
Orbourus
crowd pleaser,
dry heaver,
choker of cities,
knot in the center.
I know your secret-
why you never push up through your bones and caves,
your paintings in ox blood on clay.
You,
the All Self-Sufficient,
blasphemer of the symbiotic,
unsympathetic, unamniotic,
unphallic masturbatory serpent-
down there in the bellows, you are busy.
Your eyes like Jupiter are closed.
