Yesterday was one of those days where Murphy's Law goes into overdrive. (As opposed to Peter Murphy's Law, anything that can be dyed black, will be dyed black).
When I last checked in here, I was pulling my hair out trying to work all the bits of technology required to get my application in to Croc Hunter Challenge. That was accomplished, finally, although i think the TV may still be wired wrong.
I was supposed to meet Miss Cherry Shake at 4:30 to go over a number we were doing at Devil's Point. The Cherry Tarts had all decided last month not to do a December show because it was just too hectic to pull off, but the Point was doing a show with a couple of pieces from the Tawdry Trix, some Yes Means No, a couple of Tarts pieces, and some special guests. By the time I met Shake I was running an hour behind, and she informed me that the Trix and Yes Means No had dropped out. By the time we ran our piece a couple of times and made it to our clubhouse, all but one special guest had dropped out. Keep in mind we had only a couple of pieces planned out. Add to this the very disturbing fact that that morning, our very own Mr. Mysterio recieved a nasty shock from his christmas lights which unexpectedly (and, according to his doctor, inexplicably) caused a Grand Mal seizure and all day in the emergency room.
So, last night was the Cherry Tarts Christmas Surprise Show, which we pulled out of our collective asses in three hours. And Mysterio performed as scheduled, thankfully with no complications. The funny thing was, the show itself wasn't really that bad. Except for the part where the Satan vs, Santa boxing match ended up pulling down a big chain and part of one of the big cieling speakers. Oh well. At least it's over.
