Nikhita Flying at Tree Level v.2.0

Hm, instead of going to Beirut and doing the training to enable me to go to Algeria and Libya I managed to have an accident on my bike and wasn't allowed to travel...

Currently my stomach looks like this

And because you haven't seen it in a while my face looks like this

Please ignore the ridiculous expression, I am on some lovely painkillers for the aches of landing on my back with my bike on top of me.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Some people may ask what happened: I was cycling home from work down a sidewalk that is also a cycle path and there was a path intersecting but the entrance was hidden behind a bush. A jogger ran out from the hidden path just as I reached it and as I hadn't seen him coming thanks to the bush, I didn't have time to stop before hitting him...we got entangled (he's fine as he basically just tripped over my front wheel but he got his foot caught in my spokes which flipped my wheel around) and I ended up with my handlebar in my stomach on my back somehow. The docs at a and e decided that there was no internal bleeding after many many scans but they kept me in overnight to be sure...then told me I wasn't allowed to travel because the bruise was quite deep into my abdominal wall and there could be a little clotting.

It's annoying but c'est la vie..

Ouch that sure looks painful.

I'm glad to hear there is not major damage.

I'm glad it's not serious. The doctors are probably concerned the changing air pressure in a plane cabin could affect the clotting. It probably wouldn't but it's what they call "an abundance of caution".
You're still very pretty, though. smile
