Hello SG world. I've been painting painting, as usual:

'Cold Cold Ground'- a commission for a lovely couple in Indiana.

Aaand, Shakespeare with steampunk rats. Officially titled 'It's a little known fact that Shakespeare was secretly a mad scientist with his own army of mechanized rats.' Commission to be given to Emilie Autumn.
My exciting news is that with money I've been making from painting, I bought myself a present:

So local peoples, keep on the lookout this spring for me riding around town! Also, please don't hit me with your car. <3

Oh lawd, it's been a while. Been havin' lots of fun, keeping busy and all that good shit. Merry Christmahanukwanzakuh to all. Some paintings have gotten finished recently:

More of the Doctor

Tom Waits/Nick Cave commission. Client requested they be 'totally gay for each other'.

(This lovely piece is now hanging in the home of Hank III himself. Squee!)

Highwaymen commission.
Been to a couple shows of late, Hank III and Nick Cave with Grinderman. Both totally ass kicking shows to say the least. I'm glad to sacrifice my eardrums to them both.

I think I'm done with the Who-ish things for a while. I've been neglecting some other (paying) projects. But the inspiration goes where it goes, eh? Next up is Bowie from Labyrinth and Seargent Pepper's etc etc.
Also, chopped my hair off. I love it!

Hooray! The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly painting is done.

Crappy photo quality, but whatevs.
I recently updated to Fedora 13 after a lot of bullshit with my Ipod and trying to install Windows 7. In the ten minutes I had Windows again, I remembered how much it sucked. Fucking 5th gen Ipod wouldn't play nice with Fedora 10, but 13 solves the issues nicely.
I'm going to have lovely Churtch pierce my earlobes in the near future. I've never had them done. Eventually I want to stretch them, but that's a longterm project. Let's hope these last longer than my other piercings.

New tattoo! Ah, finally. It's been way too long since my last ink. I used to have a session once a month, and it's been eight since my last. Withdrawal!

Soon to be accompanied by robot GIR with moose on the other foot. I was too chicken to have them both done at once! Done by BJ Shorter at Bigfoot Tattoo.
I'm still undecided about who to go to for my full leg piece. I've had lots of good suggestions, and if anybody (local) has suggestions for tattooers who do awesome color and like nature-themed stuff, feel free to throw some names out there. I'll put them on my list of considerations.
I'm going to kick back, put my foot up, and enjoy the rest of my day off. It's really fucking hot outside!

I've been away! Unfortunately, not all that busy. Some paintings, some roadtrips, but mostly boring work.
Went to Living Legends III at CPX sports in Joliet a few weekends ago. (Paintball, for those who don't know.) Didn't play, but had tons of fun, met amazing people, and slept on the PBNation Skydeck. Which is the pimptest RV I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We brought our cat, Cleo, with us on a harness and leash. She mostly napped in gearbags and made lots of noise. Met a lot of legends of the industry!
Got interviewed for YouTube, that was weird. He called me Katie, barf. I did the intro, then my interview is at 8:30:
And the Skydeck:

Most recent painting commission:

Definitely got lost in the details on that one. It was a lot of fun. Working on The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly right now. I'm not sure how I like it, but that's generally how I feel at this stage anyway.
I'll try to be a bit more active around here. I finally figured out how to do this fancy intarwebz on my Blackberry, so it should be easier!

Art update!

Prints are available of Dylan if anyone happens to be interested.
The giant musician commission continues with Mad-Hatter Tom Petty next.
