I'm finally getting settled into my new place. I love it. Its been fun shopping for new things for this place. My first priority was getting a new coffee maker. I also got new kitchenware, since I had absolutely nothing. Next week I'm going to get a bed. For the last 5 years all I've had is a mattress on top of a box spring...I think it's time to upgrade. I've had my eye on some really cool platform beds like this....




Anyway, I can't wait to put all the final touches on my new place, but in the mean time, I am just so happy to have made this challenging step in my life.

Today as been really rough. There is just a lot of drama happening right now and I don't really handle it well. I've heard that the three most stressful things you can go through are divorce, moving and financial difficulties. Well I'm going through all three right now. I'm not actually getting divorced, but I'm moving out of my current apartment and feel like I'm breaking up with my roommate. It didn't end well. Anyway, I'm about stressed to the limit, but I definitely see some eventually very positive things to this currently difficult time in my life. I'm just trying to hold on to those positive thoughts and let the rest wash over me. To help get my mind off all the drama, I decided to spend the afternoon in the pool. ahhh...sweet relaxation. .

My roommate planned an all girls day out this weekend. It was the first of a hopefully continuous tradition we like to call "Vaginas in the forest" The 7 other girls and I drove out to Switzer falls to hike and goof around all day in the wilderness. It looked a little something like this...

My stomach hurts. Maybe I shouldn't have eaten a full gab of tropical flavored skittles so quickly. uuuuggg

I got stung by a bumble bee today! I was laying on a sailboat minding my own business when this bee came out of the blue and stung me on the wrist. It flew away with the stinger left in my skin. If I'm not mistaken, I think that means the bee will die. I wont be sad if he does...what a jerk! It was a very rude thing for that bee to do.

I just want to thank everyone who left nice comments on my set. Cake and I had a lot of fun working on it.

Yesterday I was on a shoot in Malibu at Harry Gesner's house. He is one of my favorite architects and a very interesting man, so it was a wonderful pleasure. His house is directly on the beach and the weather was perfect, so I spent all day in the sun watching huge waves crash on his private beach….I guess it could be worse.

While I was there, a 25 ft. spiral staircase was being constructed out of driftwood found in San Francisco, L.A, and parts of Oregon. It will eventually go straight up through the middle of his house. I wish I could describe it in a way that gives it the justice it deserves, but I'm not one for words. All I can say is that it was amazing. There was also a professional surfer teaching his little brother how to tow in surf right off of their private beach. I guess that is their typical weekday. Haha. That must be nice.

The shoot was for people magazine and the talent was Jason Lewis from Sex and City. We were chatting throughout the entire shoot and it's so refreshing to come across such a nice celebrity. I'm on set all the time and the talent aren't always as wonderful to work with. The shoot couldn't' have gone smoother and the day couldn't have been more beautiful. I wish all shoots could be like that.
