ok im going to rant for a second:

why is walking such a bad thing?? I grew up in New Hampshire. I lived there for 15 years of my life. I have been living in Houston for eight years and what I will NEVER understand is why walking around here is so terrible. Every time I say,"I'm going to walk... here or..here.." people also say," what you're walking??"

yes, yes i am.

my legs work, I promise.

People think, I'm assuming, that around here if we walk then we are going to get mugged or raped or abducted.

I lived on the streets for awhile, I have slept on park benches..
Hitchhiking, panhandling...I lived in an anarcho-communist warehouse in the fifth ward(worst part of town, besides the third ward hahaha) for awhile.
I don't think that anyone is going to try and rape me.. or kill me.
I will say this though, when I walk, I walk with a knife and mace. I always have. I always will, If I think im going to be walking through a rough part of town I carry my knife. BUt i have NEVER been mugged or raped from walking somewhere.
I have had homeless people try and throw me out of moving vehicles..but you know what all these situations need?? They need understanding and firmness. When the guy tried to throw me out of the truck I pulled my arm away from him looked him in the eye and said it's cool man it's cool. FUCKING SIMPLE!! he sat down!!!
and we proceeded on.
I will never be afraid to walk. it's so stupid.. don't go outside or the boogey man will get you.. i feel like saying," i am the fucking boogey man." but I dont for fear of sounding like a really bad horror film.
but seriously, i am a tattooed pierced freak.. what the hell, am i not suposed to be one of the weirdos?
are these people not my kind anymore??

i had the worst dreams last night. people from my past coming to bother me again. I hate when they do that.

october is almost here!!! i love october!!!
I had my kitty spayed and declawed. I have two mittens. Dream and Delirium. Dehli is the one I just threw into surgery, I feel bad about the declaw and I know that I will never have another animal declawed again. I was about ten when dream was declawed so I didnt remember is being so horrible. Dehli is doing ok though, she took her cone off last night while we were sleeping and ran amuk. luckily, she didnt open her belly up.this is dehli!!!! i loovve her. and this is nico my puppy. haha im being weird with her, except her eyeballs are usually like that.

is everyone ready for fall?? anyone in going to their local ren fair??
I need a coffee table really bad, I can't find one that I like. whats up with burl being so expensive??

we didnt have power for four days and we are the lucky ones. Half of the city is still down.
I have pictures but the stores that dont need to be open aren't.
so i will have them for you .. sometime. I always say that and i hope the pictures came out.
At times like these, I feel lucky that I spent a year on the streets being crusty otherwise i might not have
survived.
what i can't understand is... some parts of the city still dont have power.. some of the most suburban homes dont have it. my boys family is without so we have been making them ice and bringing it out to them twice a day.
fema sucks...we all know it. they set up "pods" around the city but houston is so large getting to a pod is probably really dumb. gas lines are outrageous people who dont NEED gas are filling up while people who actually need it have to wait in line. I hate this city it if filled with so many inconsiderate people. so many greedy people
The city has also implemented a curfew from 9pm to 6am due to looting.. but it wasn't me that time i swear

there are so many strays running around now i have no where to put them!!!!! poor animals. it makes me sad seeing little babies running around. Im thnking about takingin two more kitties...i dont know how i would be able to juggle that. but if any of you want a kitty let me know because i have two that need good homes. I already named one but he can be renamed, i guess, heh.

YaY hurricane relief apartment!!

There is supposed to be a hurricane coming this way. We have not evacuated. I plan on looting, mos def. =)

We had to go grocery shopping last night but mostly everyone I know is having hurricane parties.
I am fully stocked on herbal remedy and alcohol... I will be staying in my apartment for a few days, if things get bad, with my boy so that may definitely require a certain amount of me being out of my mind. lalala.

I hope everyone who is in Texas, mainly by the gulf, has found a safe place to go. (hide and seek with the hurricane!!!)

also, If nothing happens... disregard this blog.. the media has hyped this shit UP.

I dont like my art teacher though, she only allows two absences for a 16 week program.
I'm also taking yoga =) I need two years under my belt to get into a good yoga school, thats what i hear.
