Finally, Greta_s debut set Calling Front Desk is out
She is such a bombshell, so please go and show her some love!

Life is good right now. The photographs I took in Barcelona have been developed, and looking at them makes me want to go back there soon.

Today is my first completely free day in three weeks. The tattoo studio I work at is moving to a new location, so everything design related had to be changed. After weeks and weeks of making new business cards, info sheets, stickers, labels, magazine ads, shirts, signs etc. I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. My to-do-stack has gotten much smaller and I can catch some breath.
And now it looks like spring has finally hit Hamburg! Although, it's Hamburg, so I don't expect any miracles (most days here are grey and rainy)... Anyway, when you live here for a while you really learn to appreciate a nice day or two. When the sun is out, everybody goes crazy. Like, wearing shorts and sandals at 15 degrees Celsius because, come on, the sun is shining!
Oh, and I finally got around to buying new glasses.

Temper says my smile looks borderline diabolic. Aw man, there I go trying to look friendly for a change, and then this
Other than that I'm busy trying to find a place to live with my boyfriend, which is a pain in the butt around here. There just aren't enough apartments in this city, at least affordable ones. And when you find something affordable, you have to compete with 20 to 30 other people. I'm really waiting for the first landlord asking me to jump through burning hoops
Last week the man continued doing my thigh piece, and since I have unbelievably sensitive skin there, my leg looked like this:

Anyway, now it's better. We still need to fix the details (after only one hour my skin was so red he couldn't see the color anymore
), but may I introduce you to Alfredo?

Also, I continued practicing and made some more shit tattoos. Yay for shit tattoos!

(On pig skin)

(On my best friend. 040 is the area code of Hamburg)

(On my boyfriend, who was the one teling me that I should learn the trade. The poor man had to suffer a lot. I distinctly remember him yelling "Hell, I created a fucking monster now gimme that whiskey you butcher goddamnit!"
)
Well okay, this blog got a little longer than expected
Maybe I'll sit on the balcony and practice a little for my Spanish class. Later I'll go to the P!nk concert with my aunt, can't wait!
Besitos

God, every Saturday the same.
Girls, there are so many awesome pices of art you could get as a tattoo. Please, don't tell me you want "something really special" and then show me pictures of:
- Lillies
- Bird silhouettes
- Dandelions
- Infinity symbols
- feathers.
- phoenixes.
We did that three times a week, for the past three years. It's not special. It may be a nice idea, but it's not special. And yeah, you thought about it for two years and it has a very deep meaning for you. The birds or dandelion seeds stand for your family, I get it because the last ten girls today said the same.
Really, tell me you want it because you saw it on the web and it looks nice. That would be honest. But don't tell me shit about creativity and your family and how long you thought about this. I don't care.
And guys, stop bringing me this fucking picture of The Rock and tell me about "maori" because I might just throw up on your suede leather shoes.
Out.

Okay, since my last update in October...
... The bar I worked at for several years, closed. During the last party, I got wasted as hell and stole a picture. Only the picture, of course, since I'm well-behaved. I took the picture with the frame to the bathroom, opened it with a knife I stole from the bar, took the picture out and put the empty frame back to the wall and the knife back to the bar. Ah well.
... I went to my first tattoo convention as a working person. The convention was... well, unspectacular, but the catering was amazing. And we ate and drank the whole time. Honestly, I will never get a tattoo at a convention after I saw what's happening backstage

... The man I've been seeing since summer and me have decided to give it a try and make it official. Which I'm sure will be tough at times, but fuck it. It's been awesome for half a year now and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be even more amazing in 2013.
... I made a few more sketches (<-- Yep, that's the link to my blog where you can find a lot more.).

.. I got a new tattoo. A pencil to rewind my tape

Also, there was some face tattooing (not mine), winning the chance to go to my favourite festival, booking a christmas holiday, planning said holiday, planning two more big tattoos for me, stress and arguments at the job (which got solved), a lot of getting shit done, a new graphic design job, getting a cat for a few months, saying goodbye to Marty, my favourite cat in the world, planning trips to Vienna and Greece next year, writing a letter to my future self for New Year's of 2013, a lot of red wine, mice in my favourite restaurant, cheese sandwiches, cold basements, annoying roommates and finally finishing the Christmas present for my best friend:

Well, I guess that's all for now.
I'll leave you with my winter profile picture.

BTW.: That's me after Christmas dinner:

Almost boring compared to the spider picture, but here's my latest one:

Again, here's my Tumblr, in case you don't wanna miss out on new pics.
I already have a new idea in my head, but I need a good picture to take as reference. I need a portrait of a girl, directly frontal or looking up, and I'd like her to have big lips, maybe a bit of a pout. The closest I got is this, but I need more detail:

(This pic is from my new favorite blog, by the way.)
Maybe you know just the right picture? Please drop me a line then
Also, a friend shot a new picture of me with my 3D camera... Look, bewbs!

I spent most of last Sunday drawing - Didn't do that for weeks. Instead of my usual quick sketches it took quite a while. Anyway, this is it:
Feel free to add me on Tumblr if you like my stuff ![]()
So, most of you know by now that I work at a tattoo shop. When we make appointments we always advise our customers what to do before a tattoo, like drink enough water the days before, no blood-thinning medication or alcohol, sleep well and whatnot.
Also, each and everyone of us has at least one tattoo which was hell because we didn't listen to our own advice. We always tell our customers we had to make this experience just to warn them.
Yeah well, I guess I had my worst experience ever on Tuesday. Much, much worse than drinking a bottle of wine and getting a tattoo by Temper with her almost broken machine and old needle on her kitchen table (which was, I must admit, a shitload of fun).
On Tuesday, after waiting for over 3 months (and being perfectly healthy during these months), I got on the bus to Berlin to meet Peter. I didn't sleep well because of the heat, and felt a little nauseous, but I blamed it on the excitement. Turns out it wasn't excitement, but a stomach bug of some sorts. I threw up for two hours during the bus drive and finally managed to hold my tummy meds in long enough to make it stop. So I turned up at Peters place looking like a box of dough, completely sober and dizzy from the medicine.
It was all kinds of awful. I couldn't talk because I still felt sick, I couldn't drink or eat or stand in an upright position for longer than a few seconds. Poor Peter.
Buuut... We did it, somehow.
Afterwards I stumbled to Tempers place (can't remember how I did that), said hi, walked right to the bedroom, fell on the bed and slept for like 16 hours. Then, Bully-Nurse Horace kissed me until I felt better. He's really good at that, that perfect little nibbler-baby.
So, another good advice for our customers: Never get a tattoo whilst being sick.
(What I won't say: It was totally worth it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat..)

Tuning in to radio Ascheflasche!
Okay, so it's almost three weeks after the Sg Germany meet, so I'll just randomly post some pictures I took (or stole).
The girls on Saturday (sadly, Temper couldn't be there that night)

Tie and me, either happily drunk or too stupid to tie (no pun intended) a bikini top:

Also, there was some ice eating off of bottoms, boobs and a lot of Knallbox-action.

I drunkenly told Temper how easily I get bruises and she just went: "Just like that?" *thud*
Yeah, just like that. Let me introduce you to Temper's knuckles:

Other than that, life is... I think good. Lots of stress and stupid stuff, but by the end of the day I'm good.
Oh, I kinda lost my dermal anchor. After one and a half years almost without problems, a guy ripped it half out during sex. The sex was great though, so great that I actually didn't notice that thing hanging half out of my jugulum until the next day. We cut it out on Saturday. No bad feelings, it was totally worth it and to be honest, it always annoyed me during sex anyway.
Less than two weeks until I finally get my new tattoo, so excited! And I'll see Temper again! Funny how we always don't meet for a year and then like two or three times within a few weeks.
I'll leave you with the picture of an SGG 2012 shirt I made.
