This is me being a nerdy film student at school today!







That is an Arri S, 16mm film camera... it's so beautiful! It smells nice as well... It's like a piece of art, a historical relic, and a functioning piece of machinery all at once. I get so excited when I'm holding it... I feel like I'm connected to the world.

Hi!

I went to Las Vegas this weekend for the first time in my adult life! My two best friends and I traveled the four hours in the car and arrived there around 2 pm on Friday and promptly started drinking vodka. We continued drinking Vodka until well past 3 in the morning.... *laughs* the next day we slept and relaxed, I felt like I couldn't move my body, and was content being in a horizontal position all day long.

After we got back from Vegas, I was hit with reality again. School is going to be very difficult and at the same time very exciting this quarter. My classes are going to require a lot from me... and I am going to school four days a week! Looking ahead is very daunting, even in the short term. It makes my time seem so precious, that I am easily freaked by the prospect of losing my entire social life, and snuggling time... not being able to see the people I love as much as I want...

I am trying to take deep breathes and relax!

I am still bubbling over with excitement because last nite I met one of my all time favorite writers and personal idol, Pamela Des Barres!

I've carried her book "I'm with the band," around in my bag for years.



When I handed her my thumbed through, beat up copy of her first book, she looked up at me with sparkly eyes and said, "Hello beautiful," I lost all words, and just stared at her, I finally was able to tell her my name and say Thank You... thank you... THANK YOU!!!!

I am very thrilled with life right now and all the newness.

I went to Pismo Beach last week and it was fantastic! I loved going to sleep and hearing the waves crash outside my window.

It was nice to spend some time away from Los Angeles, and breathe some clean air!
I think that it helped me clear my mind and re-focus.
