As most of you guys know I've been working on opening a new shop on Hollywood blvd. For the past five months I have been busy ordering merchandise, hiring employees and writing a handbook for this new shop. The store was looking great, the staff was awesome the merchandise was pouring in and I had a contract with the owners until January 2011. Then on a Wednesday night a couple weeks ago, I get a call from my boss, and he basically says that the funding for the store was pulled and the store will no longer be opening, and I shouldn't come in for work tomorrow. Crumble.

I think in my head that I have a contract until January... oops - it's in my desk at work.

When I am finally let back into my office, the contract is gone, and now it's "what contract?" from the people that hired me (o - and one of these people is my ex. thank you.)

I was pretty bummed, but kept my head up and quickly found a job at a boutique on Melrose. After working there for less than a week, I get a call from them saying that they are in violation of some building code, and need to close the store to repair the roof, and renovate the store. They told me that they'll be closed for over a month and that I should look for another job.

fuck. right? So here I am looking for a job. AGAIN. ridiculous.
