the summer is continuing to be pretty rad. went to ink n iron, im still working on re-decorating my apartment and the last two saturdays at cinespia have been great movies. princess bride this past weekend and pulp fiction the one before. even tho an angry duck attacked and bit my feet, it was still a great time.

i also started doing hip hop music videos super fun! done two so far, Tuko's "payroll" and Gillie da kid feat jeremih's song "tattoo". really looking forward to them coming out.

theres been a definite lack of disneyland tho. im for sure going this week

its been an amazing couple of weeks. last weekend i went to the iron fist sample sale and bought heaps of amazing stuff for next to nothing, and saw iron man 3 which turned out to be fucking awesome.

this weekend was pretty sassy as well, since cinespia has started back up again. had a super great time. ill be there again on the 26th for clueless

i started re-decorating my bedroom and am crazy happy with the results so far. the main thing left is painting. ive always hated white walls.. so theyre turning olive green!

my one and only complaint with this week is that at 102 degrees, its a bit too hot in noho. i walked my dogs last night at 11pm and it was 89 degrees out. its kinda making me feel sweaty and gross haha. but other than that, i couldnt be more stoked on things right now. i hope everyone elses summer is starting out as great as mine!

my god i hate computers. well. i hate MY computers. all they ever do is mess up, and i end up sitting here watching youtube videos on how to fix something. so my bestest ladyfriend is going to let me buy hers, which is almost brand spanking new while she gets a new macbook im excited. itll be nice to not have to jiggle anything or tap on something. aah


ive been going crazy with my ebay listings. just finished sending off about 23 things and now i just added more today. my older pup, jack is seeing a dog dermatologist next week to figure out his skin issues that other vets havent been able to. its gonna be pricey but i dont want my little guy uncomfortable anymore. and he hates wearing the cone. i hate the cone too cause he runs into my legs and scrapes them with it hah.

beautiful weather always puts me in such a good mood. its gorgeous out in north hollywood at my bffs house doing laundry, about to head out to go shopping a bit. great sunday!

i went to the craola art show in hollywood last night. since i dont drive i took a bus down and when i was heading back looked up the next 212 to get back. it said an hour. how can buses run so seldom on a street as big as la brea in hollywood? i thought about walking it. but 2 and a 1/2 miles wouldve taken almost as long as waiting for the dumb bus. then i remembered that i had downloaded the new "lyft" app. i figured i would try it out. its a new app where instead of calling a cab, you download the lyft app (free), log in with facebook (you have to) and then hit lyft. whatever driver is closest to you comes and picks you up and drives you were youre going. instead of a cab its just a normal person in their own car. but with background checks and stuff. after you are dropped off you get a text within 24 hours asking what you want to donate for the ride. you put whatever amount you want to give the driver and then you rate him or her on a scale of 1-5. then they rate you on the same scale. i think its a pretty cool idea and i would recommend downloading it. its tons cheaper than a cab and more pleasant. its not in all states or cities yet but theyre expanding and whatnot.


well its sunday. i should probably take my dogs to the park and lay on a blanket. or some other kind of sunday activity

had a fun time at wondercon friday with babes ackley and tristyn at the suicide girl booth

just went to the post office and had my day slightly ruined. theyve raised international shipping by so much that its not even worth doing anymore. i usually sell vintage clothes on ebay but i made a big cartel store a week ago ( mariexvx.bigcartel.com ) and a girl in australia bought a dress yesterday. so i go to ship it and it turns out to be 21$ to ship. for a little dress! more than twice what i had estimated. so now ive had to update my site and it wont really be worth it to international buyers unless they REALLY badly want to buy something.

This year so far in summary, has mainly contained - pugs, tea, trips to disneyland, beach days, movie nights, sewing, thrifting, painting, drawing, tattooing and a ton of sleeping in.

its been a rough few months. this year hates me hah.. 2013 better be a lot better!

hasnt been all bad tho, got a new puppy.. and shes the sweetest ever. and i made a new super close lady friend ( and they dont come along often ). so i still have things to be thankful for, even tho its been pretty damn crappy for the most part.
