I have indeed seen it...

I liked it...

Then I saw the extras on the DVD and I liked it even more...
Some of the scenes they cut should NOT have been cut, cause they helped explain it and give it more depth. I know they were going for the whole dark-mysterious-n-spooky thing, but it was a bit muddled the first time I saw it... cut scenes filled in some holes.

Yay for DVDs!

Have you ever seen city of lost children? or dark city?
If so, what'd you think?

we definitely need to get the dvd then morgan...

for you see, although morgan liked it, i thought there was too many holes to maintain a true suspension of disbelief. if they would have given a little more explanation, the rest of it rocked! great suspense, very chilling, great characters, really kept you on the edge of your seat.

ANOTHER COINCIDENCE!!
i'm listening to an mp3 of that 'mad world' song from the last scene in donnie darko. i also love that movie, and am strangely attracted to the protagonist boy. i think it's that schizophrenic lop-sided smirk he's got.

I read your post in Penny's journal....I won't give you too much shit , since you have good taste in music and films, much more so than that of your peers. You were just a little one year old when Mad World came out. It IS a Tears for Fears song. It's on their first, and best album called The Hurting. The band consisted of Roland Orzabel and Kurt Smith at that time. I haven't seen the Donnie Darko sndtrk, so I don't know if Roland rerecorded the song for the movie or he's just not creditting Curt, since Curt left the band after 2 or 3 records. The Hurting has a completely different sound than the Tears for Fears stuff that you probably know. It much darker, less pop - more interesting. I only have an old tape from that time otherwise I'd burn you disc. But you should definitely either buy it, or download it. I know you'd like it given your musical faves.

By the way, how is it that your taste in music and film is so much more mature than most teenagers ( I can't believe that you are only a teenager)? I doubt that most of the people on this site have ever heard of most of the movies on your list, let alone seen any of them.

p.s. I agree that compositionally speaking, that tattoo would look best on your shoulder. Goor luck there!
