Things are still going well. There's not much new here. Let's see, lately we:

1. Finished watching the entirety of Criminal Minds, so we're all caught up for when the new season starts. In fact we watched an entire season over the weekend, because we're ridiculous. Also, if you follow the show and are on Twitter, you should follow the hash tag #savetheCMladies, because they are cutting back hours for both A.J. Cook and Paget Brewster and that sucks.

2. Went to Louisville as I mentioned in my last entry. It was really fun! We had good food, really good beer, and hung out with good friends. We spent all of the Sunday before we left in Daniel's mom's pool, which was excellent (although I ended up getting a weird sunburn and my swimsuit apparently gets stained in chlorine, so now I need to figure out a good way to dye it a darker color that won't stain).

3. Got some used video games for super-cheap, so now we can actually start using my DS more often. We got a Castlevania game, Children of Mana and Hotel Dusk. I also haven't played Oblivion in a long while and we haven't played Marvel Ultimate Alliance in ages because our third player has been out of town, so there will be lots of gaming in the coming weeks I bet. Which is a very good thing.

Other than that, life has just been good as usual. Plus I only have two months left at my current job, which is fantastic.

Buying used video games hurts video game developers. Seriously.

I won't preach, but video game resellers share none of their profits with video game developers, which means less money for game studios and studios doing cut backs on employee costs. Just something to chew on.

Yup, it applies to all developers. Gamespot is really bad for us. A lot of publishers are exploring alternative means of distribution (e.g. digital distribution) and discouraging game resales (e.g. limited content unless you have a full product license).
