Whoa, it's been awhile since I updated.

1. I don't care what anyone says (because yes, I've seen people on the Internet calling this commercial offensive), I love this commercial:

2. It's been a good couple of weeks. There's been more D&D as per usual (Daniel's character got killed last time around but luckily we raised him from the dead...for the second time in our campaign so far. Eventually dude's gonna start getting grumpy about being dead so often).

3. I also have been reading a ton. I read more Pratchett (Guards! Guards! and Men At Arms), just finished Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book", and now I'm started on Ursula K. LeGuin's "Lavinia". So not just lots of ready, lots of GEEKY reading. It's pretty fantastic. We also still have a ton of books coming in the mail, as we ordered about seven books the other week.

4. For part of this week I was in a nunnery! For work we had a "retreat", which apparently means "really boring thing in which you listen to people talk at you and then don't even get a nice hotel room out of the deal and also there's no TV and no beer which makes Homer something something". We only had to stay in the nunnery/hotel overnight, and I was glad to get home yesterday. I'm also glad I always bring books with me, because I would have been so bored on Thursday night without one.

5. Not much else going on. Life is pretty routine, but in a good way. Daniel's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to that. Otherwise that's about all!

1. If people find that offensive they need to pull the fucking pole out of their ass.

I love the current Old Spice commercials because they poke fun at all the hypermacho ads (like Axe) out there. I really like the one where the shirtless guy's riding a horse backward on a beach at sunset. smile

Nice. I never bought the illustrated one (Hero or something) but I have the rest. I couldn't even wait for Unseen Academicals to come out it paperback, so now I have a DW book in hardcoversurreal I'm so weak.

I had something different in mind for carrot, although I think they did a great job with Cohen.
