Happy New Year, everyone! I'm excited for 2010. I'm imagine it will be one of my best years, mostly because I get to spend it with hawkorhandsaw. Resolution: drink less. Wishes for the year: a better job, more money, and lots and lots of good books.
My Christmas was excellent! We drove up to Wisconsin to spend part of Christmas Eve day with Daniel's dad's side of the family, which was nice, and then headed down to Louisville. His mom had the house all decorated, with a huge tree and about a bazillion presents. A lot of y'all know that I was Jehovah's Witness growing up, so we didn't celebrate any holidays until I was in my teens, which means that Christmas and other holidays are still extra-exciting to me. So I was delighted that his family included me in their Christmas, and I got a TON of gifts. I had already gotten some great gifts from my folks, and on Christmas day I added lots of books, socks, and a ton of other great things to my loot. Basically, this Christmas has been the best ever. We had a great New Years as well, with Daniel's friend from Louisville visiting us for a couple of days.
Now we're lazing around with Daniel cooking (he's making chilli AND chicken soup, because he's fantastic) and sports on, and I'm about to play some Torchlight. I'm not looking forward to going back to work on Monday, but I am going to enjoy this lazy weekend.
