1. This is the last time I'll pimp this thing out, I swear. But if any of y'all haven't seen my set in member review yet, or have seen it and liked it but haven't commented, please do. Or just check it out in general. I'd really love for that set to go live on the site, and I could also really use the money I'd get if it was accepted! Plus, I'm proud of it.

2. I just finished re-reading Watchmen, in anticipation of the movie. I know, I know, it doesn't come out until next year, but still. Anyway, I had forgotten how fucked up Watchmen really was. I finished it during lunch at work today and probably looked kind of shell shocked afterwards! Next I'm moving on to a collection of horror stories by Brian Jacque, also known as the person who brought us Redwall. And speaking of movies, Redwall really needs to be made into one.

3. Three day weekend starting tomorrow, huzzah! I want to spend as much of it as I can with Tangus.

4. I want to lose a bit of weight. I'm happy not being as ridiculously skinny as I was about two or three years ago (I look back at some pictures of myself and want to yell "eat a steak!"), but I'm more insecure about my body than I've ever been in my life, and I think taking off a couple of pounds would really help with that. Snacking at work is one of my major problems, so I've got to start thinking of things I can snack on that aren't as fattening as chips. I'd bring sunflower seeds (my addiction) in, but somehow I don't think my coworkers would appreciate me eating those at work, the shells would get everywhere and the crunching noise would gross them out. Maybe raw, unshelled ones? I dunno.

Also, eating more than pasta and soup would be a good idea too. I hate being so damn picky!

5. If I ever get rich, I will have my own bar, and it will contain draft Rogue Dead Guy ale.

I forgot you were a sunflower seed fiend like me. Get this ... Wawa no longer carries David. All they carry now are 'Wawa brand' sunflower seeds.

WTF?!?

To me, if they're not David, I ain't buyin' 'em.
Fuckers.

if I were you, I'd reorder the sets so that your member review actually appeared on your profile page without people having to click through... that way it'll be on top and you won't have to pimp it in your journal for people to go looking for it.

JUMBO?!?
I had to go to their website to look that up to see if it meant what I thought it meant.

Of course, now I want seeds and I was just at the grocery store like 30 minutes ago.

Work leads to non-stop snacking with me. I wish I had the will power to stop but it's not easy, especially here were for pretty much any event someone brings in cakes.

Enjoy your weekend.

1) Already commented there, but I have to say again, that set (like all of yours) is awesome. (Though "In the Crowd" is my absolute all-time favorite SG set, hands down.)

2) Don't know Watchman -- might have to check it out. I've been re-reading lots of John Varley lately. One of my absolute favorite authors!

3) Yay for long weekends -- gives me more time to spend at my OTHER job (photography). Plus my son graduates from HS this evening! smile

4a) I'm not trying to invalidate your feelings -- but you have no reason to feel insecure about your body, my dear. You are DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!! :ove: And that's from an old married guy who's not in the market and not hitting on you. You feel very lucky (and are) with Tangus -- but he's one very very very lucky guy, too. smile

4b) I'm not absolutely sure, but I think sunflower seeds are actually pretty fattening (by weight). There's a lot of oil in sunflower seeds (but they are awfully yummy -- cashews are my personal downfall, though). I've been trying to snack on fruit a lot more to keep my weight down.

5) Rogue Dead Guy? Never heard of it! Where's it brewed? With a name like that, how could it be bad? smile
